Lemongrass Delivery or Pickup

Lemongrass is a tropical herb grown worldwide for its flavor and medicinal properties. With more than 55 varieties, lemongrass is native to Sri Lanka and South India. The plant has a strong citrus flavor and floral aroma, often accented by tastes of ginger and mint.  

Lemongrass grows in hot, sunny environments in grassy clumps that can reach heights of 5 feet. Harvest begins when the plant reaches 12 inches tall, and the base is a half-inch wide. You can use lemongrass both as an edible herb or as ornamental grass to accent any garden—plant lemongrass outdoors in the spring after the last chance of frost. In colder climates, you can root lemongrass, grow it indoors, and transfer it outside during the spring.

Lemongrass is usually used in teas, sauces, or soups and is a signature ingredient in certain dishes. Lemongrass's antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties make it a natural herbal pain reliever that can also combat bloating. The medicinal properties of lemongrass promote its use to relieve anxiety and lower cholesterol.
