By bottling the whisky at its natural cask strength of 61%, The GlenDronach Cask Strength offers connoisseurs a deeper insight into the distillery’s signature profile. The eighth release of this expression has been matured for 10 years in both Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks, resulting in an exquisitely rich and full-bodied single malt. With each Cask Strength release, Master Blender Rachel Barrie selects the perfect marriage of these two cask styles before bottling without chill filtration and at high strength, as was the custom before the turn of the 20th century. Bottled at 61% ABV, non-chill filtered and of natural colour.

SHERRY CASK CONNOISSEURS: The GlenDronach is renowned as the masters of sherry cask maturation and is a true Highland style. Recognized for deep color and rich flavour profiles make The GlenDronach perfect for long term maturation in sherry casks ranging from sweet fruity flavours from the Pedro Ximenez casks to the dry and nutty notes from superb Oloroso casks.
SAXOPHONE COPPER POT Stills: The spirit stills have an unique saxaphone shape and descending lyne arm allowing very little distillate to fall back capturing a more robust spirit resulting in a rich Highland style.
THE PARLIAMENT OF THE ROOKS: Our well-kept secrets have been guarded for nearly 200 years by a parliament of rooks who love The GlenDronach so much they try to nest in the warehouses. The distillery folk believe as long as the rooks remain at the distillery, it will be good for the whisky.
Directions
The GlenDronach Batch Strength 8 is best served neat or on the rocks, preferably with one large cube of ice. Sipping the whisky neat allows the unique opportunity to taste the flavours at the same proof as when it came out of the barrel.
