Sugar, Maltodextrin, Egg Yolk, Partially Hydrogenated Soybean Oil, Carrageenan, Sodium Citrate, Artificial Flavor, Sodium Caseinate, Dipotassium Phosphate, FD & C Yellow 5, Yellow 6, Polysorbate 60, Monoglycerides.


Directions

It's easy; it's fun; it's wonderful! Needed: 1 cup heavy whipping cream. 1 cup half & half (or whole milk). Four 5-6 oz heat-resistant ramekins. 2 qt. saucepan. Wire whisk. Stove Top Instructions: In saucepan over medium heat, whisk milk and cream with creme brulee mix. Stirring constantly, bring to a boil. Reduce heat. simmer for an additional minute. Mixture will be thin. Remove from heat and pour evenly among four dishes. chill for 1 hour. Follow directions for caramelizing. Microwave Instructions: Thoroughly mix milk and cream with creme brulee mix in a microwave-safe 2 qt. bowl. Cook covered on high for 3 minutes. Stir, and cook for an additional 3 minutes. Follow directions above to complete. Advanced Preparation: The creme may be prepared up to a day ahead and kept covered in the refrigerator. Do not caramelize until ready to serve. Batches may be doubled. Caramelizing: Just before serving, sprinkle an even layer of the caramelizing sugar onto the creme. Using a Culinary Torch: This is recommended for better control and quick, even caramelizing. Using torch, hold flame 1 to 2 inches from the surface at an angle. Move torch continuously across sugar surface. Caramelizing is complete when topping has melted and turns to a golden brown. Using an Oven Broiler: Preheat broiler. Place cooled dishes on a sturdy cookie sheet. Place in broiler 3 inches from heat element. Caramelizing is complete when sugar has melted and turns to a golden brown. Important: Watch carefully. You may have to rotate tray for even caramelizing. Remove immediately when sugar melts. Refrigerate if the creme becomes soft.
