Apply a pea size amount of hair dye to the area and let the test area spot dry. Do not wash, cover or disturb. Examine area periodically, if you experience any reaction such as redness, burning, itching, or swelling around the test area do not color your hair until you consult a medical professional. Even if you do not see a reaction to the skin test, it is still possible to have a reaction when you dye your hair.
