User maintenance:

Your hot brush is virtually maintenance free. No lubrication is needed. keep all vents and openings clear of dirt and dust. If cleaning becomes necessary, disconnect the hot brush from the power source, let it cool, and wipe exterior with a cloth. If any abnormal condition occurs, unplug the hot brush, allow it to cool, and return it for repair to an authorized service center only. No repairs should be attempted by the consumer.

Operating instructions:

This curling appliance is intended for household use. Use on alternating current (50/60 hertz) only. This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). As a safety feature, this plug will fit in a polarized out let only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.

Dual voltage:

This hot brush has dual voltage. Use an adapter plug with a configuration appropriate to the outlet you are using. The hot brush will automatically adjust to the proper voltage.

Getting started:

The hot brush’s 25 temperature settings and instant heat technology provide styling versatility for all hair types. If you have fine hair, a low temperature will provide the best results. If you have thick, wavy or hard-to-curl hair, keep the heat setting on high. You can vary the temperature of the brush according to your particular need!

Super styling guide:

Your best looks begin with a good haircut that’s well maintained. Always treat hair well with superior quality shampoos, conditioners, and finishing products.

Curling basics:

1. Plug the hot brush cord into a standard household electrical outlet (120/240 V). Never leave you hot brush on and unattended. However, should you fail to turn it off, it will shut itself off automatically in approximately 60 minutes.

2. Use of the hot brush is very easy to master. Roll one small section of hair at a time around the hot brush starting from the bottom up. To avoid tangling, never roll the hair around the hot brush more than two times. When hair is warm (not hot) to the touch, the curl is set. For hair that is harder to curl, leave the hot brush in place a little longer. A hot brush generally gives a lighter curl than a curling iron - for very hard-to-curl hair, try switching to your curling iron.

3. The hot brush can be used for quick touch-ups. After heating the hot brush, simply brush the hair back to its original style. To change the style, mist the hair lightly with water before using hot brush. No combing is necessary!

To straighten:

To relax natural waves, pull a small section of hair taut, then pass brush over hair from roots to ends. Repeat procedure until natural waves are relaxed.

To wave:

For flowing waves, separate a wider section of hair than you normally do for curling, and roll it as you usually do. For best results, hair should be at least 6-8 inches long.

On blunt cuts:

Use hot brush on blunt cuts to eliminate kinks or unwanted flips by just turning the hair under.

Using instant heat and the 25 variable temperature settings and heat recovery system.

This hot brush features Conair’s Instant Heat technology. It heats up to the temperature you’ve selected for your hair type.

This Instant Hair technology includes 25 variables temperature settings for every type of hair, from the finest to the curliest and most resistant. Select the temperature range that’s suitable for your hair type to help you create the look you want.

Temperature setting guide:

Temp. control … Hair type.

Low 1-8 … Delicate, thin, easy-to-curl hair.

Medium 9-14 … Average to thick or treated hair.

Med-High 15-20 … Thick or wavy hair.

High 21-25 … Hard-to-curl hair.

Turbo Heat® … Up to 20°C/36°F bust of heat for difficult styling spots.

And that’s not all. Conair’s professional salon standards of engineering provide you with a uniform heat recovery system that maintains the hot brush at constant temperatures.

There is a constant surge of power to ensure that heat is continuously delivered for optimal styling results. Unlike other units which lose heat during use. This recovery system provides consistent styling power so that every strand of your hair is set with the same level of heat and comes out the same way for a perfect finish.

Storage:

When not in use, your appliance should be disconnected, allowed to cool, and stored in a safe, dry location out of reach of children. Do not jerk or strain cord at plug connections. Do not wrap the line cord around the appliance. Allow the cord to hang or lie loose and straight at the point of entry into the appliance.

Warnings

Caution: Never allow the power supply cord to be pulled or twisted. Never wrap the cord around the hot brush. Damage will occur at the high flex point of entry into the hot brush, causing it to rupture and short circuit. Inspect the cord frequently for damage. Stop use immediately if damage is visible or if unit stops or operates intermittently.
