Directions

Get ready to colour step 1.

Replace cap: apply to dry, combed hair. Drape towel around shoulders to protect clothing. Apply water resistant cream around the face. Put on professional gloves.

Remove cap from developer 1. Empty colourant 2 into developer 1. Replace cap.

Gently tilt 5X.

Slowly tilt developer 1 upside down 5 times to mix. Five times is enough. Extra mixing will not create more foam. Gently tilt, do not shake.

Click.

Replace black cap with foamer 4 & click into place. Use immediately after mixing. Discard unused mixture.

Squeeze center.

Dispense foam. Hold bottle upright and squeeze the centre of the bottle. Always squeeze foam into your hand, never directly onto your hair.

For short hair, make sure to use 2/3 of the bottle (check the usage line on bottle).

For shoulder length to long hair, make sure to use the entire bottle.

Option A.

All-over colour, step 2.

Apply a tennis ball sized amount of foam to your gloved hand. Then apply to the hair, starting at the roots of your natural part.

Front, back.

Roughly section and apply another tennis ball sized amount of foam to the next part. Repeat at least 5 times to the front of your head and 3 times to the back. Massage gently to avoid hair tangling.

Step & repeat.

Continue to add foam as you massage in a circular motion, until your hair is over-saturated with foam. Keep applying foam a few more times, and then massage for a few minutes.

Ensure you completely cover your hair with foam, right up to the hairline. Your head should be as frothy with foam as this image. Then start timing.

20: mins for all-over colour.

+10: mins extra for greys.

30: minutes maximum.

Leave foam on hair for 20 minutes. For stubborn greys, thick or coarse hair, leave on for an extra 5-10 minutes.

Option B.

Root application, step 2.

Apply a tennis ball sized amount of foam to your gloved hand. Then apply to the hair, starting at the roots of your natural part.

Roughly section and apply another tennis ball sized amount of foam to the roots of the next part. Repeat at least 5 times to the front of your head and 3 times to the back, until all roots have been covered.

Leave foam on roots for 10 minutes. For stubborn greys, thick or coarse hair, leave on for an extra 5-10 minutes.

Massage gently to avoid hair tangling. Blend & massage remaining foam from the bottle through hair lengths. Ensure you completely cover your hair with foam, right up to the hairline. Your head should be as frothy with foam as this image. Leave foam on hair lengths for a further 10 minutes.

10: mins for roots.

+10: mins extra for greys.

+10: mins for lengths to tips.

30: minutes maximum.

Rinse & finish, step 3:

After developing, rinse out foam with lukewarm water until water runs clear. Gently massage enough conditioner 3 into your hair to saturate. Leave in for 2-5 minutes and rinse.

Style as usual. Save remaining conditioner to use once a week to lock in your colour and to protect it from fading.

Before you colour perform a skin allergy test.

Read these entire usage instructions carefully.

Skin allergy test instructions must be performed 48 hours before you colour your hair.

You will need a cotton ball or swab, a plastic bowl and a plastic spoon.

1. Cleanse an area the size of a quarter with soap and water in the bend of your elbow. Pat dry.

2. Using a plastic utensil, mix a dab of the developer lotion, with a few drops of the colourant lotion in a plastic container. The ratio should be 1.5 part developer and 1 part colourant lotion. Tightly recap the hair colour product and developer. Do not use metal utensils.

3. Apply mixture to the test area with a cotton ball or swab.

4. Let test spot dry. Do not wash, cover or disturb for 48 hours.

5. Examine test area after 24 hours and again after 48 hours. If no reaction has occurred, you are ready to colour.

Note: if any abnormal reactions - such as redness, burning, itching, swelling, skin abrasions, eruptions or irritations appear in or around the test area, you have a reaction. You should not use this product at all. Be aware that even if a sensitivity test has been carried out, you may still experience an allergic reaction when you colour your hair. The sensitivity test is not a guarantee to avoid future allergic reactions. Keep the empty package for a few days in case you experience a reaction.

What to do if you have a reaction during or within the next 48 hours of colouring your hair.

If during colouring you experience:

Any stinging or burning and/or rash, rinse immediately and discontinue use as this may be an indication of a more serious reaction. Do not colour your hair again before seeking medical advice.

Rapidly spreading skin rash, dizziness or faintness, shortness of breath and/or swelling of eyes/face, rinse immediately and seek immediate medical attention.

If after colouring or on the following days you experience problems, such as skin itching, skin rash, swelling to eyes/face, blistering and/or skin or scalp weeping seek immediate medical attention.

Retain the product for identification and call 1-866-226-4044. Our consumer hotline representatives will advise you what to do next.

Tips for flawless colour coverage.

Apply colour to dry hair that does not have a strong build-up of styling product. If your hair has build-up, shampoo one day prior to colouring.

Do not shampoo your hair for at least 24 hours before colouring. Your scalp has natural oils that help protect it during the colouring process.

Before colouring:

Make sure you are not wearing any accessories, or using any metal tools, when colouring your hair.

For best results, colour your hair in a warm room that has a minimum temperature of 68 degrees F (20 degrees C).

If any colour gets on skin or household surfaces, wipe it off immediately with a damp towel.

Do not use this product if you are going more than two shades lighter or darker than your current colour or if you have recently bleached, double processed, highlighted, permed or relaxed your hair.

During colouring:

Use as much foam as you can. The more foam you use, and the more you massage, the better your colour results.

If you have short hair, use at least 2/3 of bottle (see dotted line on developer 1).

If you have shoulder length to long hair, use the entire bottle.

Make sure to cover your roots, hairline and the back of your head entirely with foam.

Gently massage with fingertips to avoid hair tangling.

Foam is unlike any other home hair colour. It is very easy, but different from what you would have used before. Be sure to follow these tips for best results.

Tilt, do not shake: tilt gently to mix, do not shake. Shaking causes foam to become runny. If foam becomes too runny, do not apply. You can create foam again by dispensing a small amount 3-4 times.

Squeeze, do not pump: always squeeze the center of bottle, pumping the Foamer does not dispense foam.

Keep bottle upright: tilting too much causes foam to become runny. If foam becomes too runny, do not apply. You can create foam again by dispensing a small amount 3-4 times.

Apply on hand first, then on hair: always squeeze foam into your hand, not directly onto your hair.

Achieve salon results every time you colour.

Create foam by squeezing bottle.

Start applying foam at roots.

Apply a generous amount & massage.

Precision foam makes flawless coverage easy.

Read and follow instructions. Hair colourants can cause severe allergic reactions. Perform a skin allergy test 48 hours before use.
