Directions: Note: All of the pieces needed for each building are baked as one cookie with score marks to help you separate easily. It is advised to break apart each building just before assembling so pieces do not get mixed up. Preparing Your Icing: 1. Knead icing pouch for 1 minute to a soft, smooth consistency. 2. Empty candies and sugars into small bowls and set aside for decorating. Carefully remove cookie pieces from packaging and break apart panels along deep score marks. Lay out on countertop with rough sides of cookies facing up. Keep cookie pieces grouped by building type. 3. To start the flow of icing, snip the tip to a 1/4-inch opening. Be careful not to cut the opening too large. Build Your Village: 1. Note: You will need less than half of the entire pouch of icing to build your village; save the leftover icing to use for decorating. For each village building, pipe a line of icing along the edges of the front and back panels. Holding the pieces vertically, press a side wall up against icing strip on the front panel. Repeat process with second side wall and add back panel last. Refer to illustrations to aid in building construction and style. Hold building in place for 1 minute before continuing on and adding roof. 2. Pipe a thick strip of icing along the roof edges of the front and back panels. Attach roof panels to building, pipe a line where the top edges meet, and hold in place for 1 minute. Allow each building to set for 15 minutes before decorating with candies. Decorate Your Village: 1. Drape the piping bag over the edges of a glass to make filling easier and use a spatula to fill with leftover icing from pouch. Twist the top to close. Cut a small tip off of the piping bag. Hint: Do not cut the tip too large; a small tip works best for fine details and you can always adjust the size as you go. 2. Ice roofs and add piped icing swirls and details as desired. Apply sprinkles and candies, using dabs of icing to adhere. Hint: Don't forget that icing can be piped onto a cutting board or platter to create sidewalks and other landscaping decor. 3. Allow village pieces today completely for at least 30 minutes before carefully moving to final arrangement. Admire and enjoy!
