Harris Bed Bug Spray: Directions for use: It is a violation of federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling. Stop; read entire label before use. Use restrictions: This product is not for use on humans or animals: In the home, all food preparation and eating surfaces and utensils should be covered during treatment, or thoroughly washed before use. Exposed food/ should be covered or removed. Remove pets, birds and cover fish aquariums before spraying. Do not apply to bed linens or surfaces that will be in direct contact with occupants of the bed. Do not apply as a broadcast surface spray. Not intended for commercial applications. Shake well before each use. Application: Use only as a spot treatment or crack & crevice application in residences. Spray in an inconspicuous area to test for possible staining or discoloration. Evaluate test area after drying. Hold container upright with nozzle aimed away from you. Spray surfaces from a distance of 8 to 10 inches until slightly damp. Vacate room after treatment and ventilate before reoccupying. Do not allow children or pets to contact treated areas until surfaces are dry. Allow sprayed articles and surfaces to dry thoroughly before using or replacing bedding. To kill bed bugs and bed bug eggs: Spray bugs directly when possible. Apply on and around bed frames, headboards. floors, carpeting, baseboards, furniture, moldings, ceiling, and walls. For infested mattresses, apply to tufts, folds, edges, sides, and seams until moist. Allow to dry before remaking bed. For infested furniture, apply only to tufts, seams, folds, and edges. Do not apply to surfaces where prolonged human contact will occur. To control Asian Lady Beetles, Boxelder Bugs and Cluster Flies: Apply this product where these insects may be entering the structure, traveling, breeding or habitating. Remove or cover all food or feed items in the treatment area before applying product. Treat open spaces below floors, above ceilings, within walls, under stairs, underneath and behind equipment or appliances, around pipes and sinks, in utility closets and around garbage and waste cans. In food handling areas, or areas where food or feed products are prepared or stored, apply as a crack & crevice or spot treatment. As a crack & crevice treatment, apply sparingly into cracks and crevices using equipment designed to place powder into specific locations. Limit spot treatments to walls or floors where pests are suspected of hiding. No individual spot treatments should exceed 2 square feet. For best results, apply to dry areas. Repeat treatment on dry surfaces, as needed, to maintain control of problem pests. Other uses (indoor and outdoor applications): This product is intended for application with a hand duster, power duster or other suitable means of application to areas where insects are found. Apply this product to cracks and crevices with the use of a bulbous duster or other suitable equipment. Apply lightly and uniformly. In living areas, make applications in such a manner as to avoid deposits on exposed surfaces or introducing the material into the air. Treat a small area of the surface to be treated and look for staining or other adverse reaction before making regular application. To apply insecticide directly into cracks and crevices, use a bulbous duster or other suitable equipment. Apply lightly and uniformly to infested areas. The amount of product to be applied will vary with the site but should usually be in the range of 1-5 oz / 100 square feet. Indoor Use: Cockroaches, Ants, Earwigs, Millipedes and Centipedes, Crickets and Silverfish: Lightly coat a thin layer of this product in areas where these pests are found and may hide such as cracks and crevices, behind and beneath refrigerators, cabinets, stoves, garbage cans and in and around sewer pipes and drains, window frames and in attics and basements. Dust insects directly if possible. Repeat treatment regularly. Fleas: Thoroughly treat floor and bedding in and around pets' sleeping quarters. Treat surrounding cracks and crevices, baseboards, carpeting and wherever fleas are suspected. Carpet Beetles: Dust along baseboards, carpet edges, under carpeting, furniture, in closets and shelving where these insects are seen or suspected. Bed Bugs: Dismantle bed. Use this product in joints, crevices and where rungs are inserted. See that all interior areas are dusted. Dust mattresses, especially folds and edges. All cracks and crevices and around window openings in the bedroom should be treated. Outdoor Use: This product is intended for application with a hand duster or power duster for application to areas where insects are found. Cockroaches, Earwigs, Grasshoppers, Ants, Crickets and other insects: Lightly coat a thin layer of this product in areas where these insects are found such as patios, outdoor sills, window and door frames. Apply around foundations, along ant trails and around sewer pipes and drains. Indoors: Ants (including Argentine, Carpenter, Crazy, Fire, Harvester and Pharaoh), Asian Lady Beetles (Lady Bugs) (except in California), Boxelder Bugs, Centipedes, Cockroaches (American and German, including adult and immature stages of both non-resistant and organophosphate- and carbamate-resistant strains), Crickets, Fleas, Kudzu Bugs (except in California), Palmetto Bugs, Silverfish, Sowbugs, Stink Bugs (except in California), Ticks and Waterbugs: Apply as a spot and crack & crevice treatment to areas where these pests crawl and hide, especially in hidden areas around sinks and storage areas; behind baseboards; around doors and windows; behind and under refrigerators, cabinets, sinks and stoves; and the underside of shelves, drawers, bookcases and similar areas. Cover all food handling surfaces and cover or remove all food and cooking utensils or thoroughly wash after treatment. Cover or remove exposed food. Spray rugs and carpets where infestations are bad. Test delicate fabrics for staining in an inconspicuous area prior to use. Spiders: Apply along and behind baseboards, to window and door frames, comers, pipes, storage localities, attics, crawl spaces and other areas over which these pests may crawl. Centipedes, Scorpions, Sowbugs and Ticks: Apply around doors and windows and other places where these pests may enter premises. Treat baseboards, storage areas and other locations where these pests are found. Asian Lady Beetles (Lady Bugs) (except in California): Spray areas where bugs crawl or are at rest, around doors, windows and areas where insects can enter premises. Contact Spray: To kill Ants (including Argentine, Carpenter, Crazy, Fire, Harvester and Pharaoh), Bed Bugs, Biting Midges, Black Flies, Centipedes, Chiggers, Cockroaches, Deer Flies, Fleas, Gnats, Horse Flies, Spiders (including Black Widow, Brown Recluse and Hobo), Ticks and Wasps: Spray where insects congregate and individual pests when seen. Spray 1-2 pumps, directly contacting insects. When spray dries, insects contacted by spray will be killed. Flying Insects: Gnats, Houseflies, Kudzu Bugs (except in California), Mosquitoes and Small Flying Moths: Spray localized resting areas, such as under eaves, porches, inside surfaces of window and door frames, surfaces around light fixtures and cords, railings, etc and anywhere these insects may rest. Insects coming to rest on treated surfaces will be killed. Horse Stables: To Control Deer Flies, Face Flies, Gnats, Horn Flies, Horse Flies, Houseflies, Mosquitoes and Stable Flies: Thoroughly apply to surfaces until wet Insects coming to rest on treated surfaces will be killed or repelled. Repeat treatment as necessary, but not more than once per week. Do not spray animals or humans, or apply to animal feed or watering equipment. Bed bugs and lice: Remove linens and wash before reuse. Lightly spray mattresses, especially tufts, folds and edges. Apply to the interior of the frame. Allow to dry before remaking bed. Outdoors: Remove all exposed food and cooking utensils. Cover all food handling surfaces or thoroughly wash after treatment and before use. Do not use on edible cops. Do not make applications during rain. Do not water the treated area to the point of runoff. All outdoor applications must be limited to only spot or crack & crevice treatments, except for the following permitted uses: 1) Applications to soil or vegetation around structures; 2) Applications to lawns, turf and other vegetation; and 3) Applications to building foundations up to a maximum height of 3 feet. Other than applications to building foundations, all outdoor applications to impervious surfaces such as driveways, sidewalks, patios, porches and structural surfaces (suds as doors, eaves and windows) are limited only to spot and crack & crevice applications. Application is prohibited directly into sewers, drains or any area like a gutter where drainage to aquatic habitat sewers, storm drains or water bodies can occur. Do not allow the product to enter any drain during or after application. For outdoor use only as an aid in controlling these insects. Point sprayer away from face. Hold sprayer on a slight downward angle, approximately 12 inches from surface to be sprayed. Spray with wind if breeze is blowing. Do not contaminate fishponds or apply directly to water. Pests on outside surfaces of buildings: For control of building infestations of Ants, Clover Mites, Crickets, Kudzu Bugs (except in California), Sowbugs (Pillbugs) and Stink Bugs (except in California): Spray bullring foundation where insects are active and may find entrance up to a height of 2-3 feet Apply to outside surfaces of buildings where insects tend to congregate. Spray areas include (but are not limited to) eaves, garages, patios, porches, refuse dumps, screens and window frames. Repeat treatment as necessary, but not more than once per week. Crawling Insects: Ants, Cockroaches (including American, Asian and German), Centipedes Crickets, Kudzu Bugs (except in California), Mole Crickets, Silverfish, Stink Bugs (except in California) and Waterbugs: Hold sprayer 12-18 inches from surfaces to be treated and spray infested surfaces of patio or picnic areas and legs of tables and chairs, hitting as many insects as possible.
