Melting Instructions: Microwave: Melt 1 cup of morsels in an uncovered microwave-safe bowl on high for 1 minute; stir. If necessary, microwave at additional 10-15 second intervals, stirring just until morsels are melted. Stovetop: Place chips in a double boiler over hot, not boiling water. Stir until melted. Keep water away from product. Chocolate Chip Cookies: Ingredients 1 cup butter or margarine, softened. 1 cup granulated sugar. 1/2 cup packed brown sugar. 1 tsp vanilla extract. 2 eggs. 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour. 1 tsp baking soda. 1 tsp salt. 1 pkg (11.5 oz) Hannaford milk chocolate morsels. 1 cup chopped nuts, optional.
Directions: Cream together butter or margarine, sugars and vanilla untill light and fluffy. Beat in eggs. In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking soda and salt. Gradually add to creamed mixture, Mixing untill well-blended. Fold in chocolate morsels and nuts, if desired. Bake at 375 degree F for about 10 minutes until browned. Makes approximately 5 dozen cookies.
