Enriched Flour (Wheat Flour, Malted Barley Flour, Niacin, Reduced Iron, Thiamin Mononitrate, Riboflavin, Folic Acid), Nonfat Yogurt, (Cultured Nonfat Milk), Salt, Active Dry Yeast, Dehydrated Garlic, Sugar.


Directions

4 easy steps to Golden Naan Flatbread. You will need: 1 tsp sugar, 2 tbsp water, 2/3 cup milk, 2 tbsp vegetable oil, plus additional for cooking. Optional: melted butter & sea or coarse kosher salt. Included: Mix & yeast packet. 1. Mix yeast: Stir together 1 packet yeast (included), 1 tsp sugar and 2 tbsp warm water (115 - 120 degrees F) in a small bowl. Set aside for 10 minutes until frothy. 2. Prepare dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine Golden Temple Naan flatbread mix (included) 2/3 cup warm milk (115 - 120 degrees F), and 2 tbsp vegetable oil. Add yeast mixture (step 1) and stir, shaping into a ball. Knead for 3-5 minutes, to form a pliable dough ball. Place in a lightly oiled bowl and cover with a damp cloth. Let rise in a warm place for 30 minutes. 3. Shape & Roll: Divide dough into 8 equal pieces, and roll into balls. Hand flatten each piece into an oval shape. Use firm pressure, creating a small depression in the center with the heel of your hand. Roll out to 1/8 inch thick with a rolling pin - dough must be thin to cook properly. Traditional Naan flatbread is usually oval or tear drop shaped and a bit thicker on outside edges. 4. Cook: Preheat heavy fry pan to Medium/Medium-High (cooking times may vary due to differences in cooktops and fry pans). Brush each piece of Naan flatbread dough with oil on both sides. Cook Naan flatbread two pieces, 2 at a time, adjusting heat as needed (Naan flatbread cooks quickly requiring your full attention to heat levels). Naan flatbread dough should puff slightly, forming golden brown spots on bottom. Turn Naan flatbread and cook until browned on second side; lightly press the Naan flatbread with a spatula for even browning.
