Collard Greens
Cooking: Place desired amount of frozen Chopped Collard Greens into boiling, salted (optional) water. When water boils again, cover, reduce heat and cook gently 25 to 30 minutes or until tender. Do not overcook. Southern Style: Place frozen Chopped Collard Greens into boiling, salted water. Add desired amount of bacon drippings or salt pork and cook 50 to 55 minutes at moderate temperature. Microwave: Place contents of package in covered microwave-proof casserole; add 2 tablespoons water. Cook on High setting 5 minutes. Stir and cook on High setting another 6 to 7 minutes. Let stand 2 to 3 minutes. Note: Due to varying wattage on microwave ovens, you may need to cook longer than indicated. Please consult your microwave oven owner's manual for additional information.
