skillet chicken & noodles - serves 4 to 6, 2 tbs. Margarine, 1/2 cup diced onions, 1/2 cup small diced celery, 3 cups (24 oz) our family ready to serve chicken broth, 1/2 tsp. Salt, 1/8 tsp. Pepper, 1/4 cup flour, 1 cup milk, 1 egg, 2 cups cooked chicken, 2 cups cooked wide noodles, 1 cup frozen peas and carrots, partially thawed, in a large skillet over medium high heat, melt margarine and cook onion and celery 3 minutes, until onion is transparent. Add broth, salt and pepper and bring to a boil. Meanwhile place flour in a small bowl and gradually stir in milk, mixing thoroughly, then stir in egg, mix well, set aside. When broth boils add in cooked chicken and noodles, return to a boil. Gradually stir in flour mixture to thicken and bring to a boil. Add partially thawed peas and carrots and stir gently, heating thoroughly. Serve hot.
preparation instructions: use in your favorite recipes or serve as a hot beverage. Stovetop: empty contents of can into pan. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally until hot. Microwave: empty contents of can into a microwave-safe bowl. Cover. Microwave on high for 8-9 minutes (or until hot), stirring once. Let stand in microwave for one minute. Caution: product and container will be hot. Use potholders and handle carefully to avoid burns. Promptly refrigerate any unused portion in separate container. Do not microwave in can.
