Get Ready: Cut 1-1/4 pounds boneless chicken thighs or breasts or fish fillets into 1-1/2 inch square pieces. Heat about 1/4 inch of vegetable oil in large, heavy skillet over Medium heat to 350 degrees F. Oil is ready when bread cube is dropped in oil and turns brown on the bottom in 20 seconds. To Shake and Pan-Fry: Pour 1 package Kikkoman Kara-Age mix in a large, plastic bag (not included) or pan. Moisten chicken or fish in water, allowing excess to drop off. Add dozen pieces at a time to bag or pan. Close top of bag and shake well or roll in pan to coat all pieces evenly. Discard any remaining coating mix. Pan-fry half of pieces in hot oil, 2 to 4 minutes, or until chicken or fish is cooked, turning pieces over frequently. Remove and drain on paper towels. Cook remaining pieces as directed. Makes 3-4 servings.
