You Will Need: 5 oz (130 g) softened butter, 1 egg. Preparation: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C). Baking Pan: 10 inches springform pan Cover springform pan with parchment paper or with cooking spray and flour. Preparation: Preheat oven. Combine base mix with 5 oz (130 g) softened butter and 1 egg in a mixing bowl. Beat with an electric mixer on low-level (or by hand) until fine crumbles are formed. Line 10 inches springform pan with parchment paper or cover pan with cooking spray and flour. Spread 2/3 of the crumbles inside springform pan and press crumbles along the bottom and halfway up the rim. Add layer of fresh fruits or preserves of your choice. Spread remaining crumbles on top until cake is fully covered. Bake as directed in preheated oven for about 45-55 minutes (baking times may vary depending on oven type and altitude). Kathi's Tip for Your Filling: Fresh Fruits: apple slices, sour cherries, plums or other fruits. Or Canned Fruits: 2 jars of 12 oz (340 g). Drain the fruits well, saving the juice. Pour juice into a sauce pan and stir in 3 tbsp starch powder. Cook until thickened, while stirring constantly. Let cool down for a few minutes, add the fruits and spread everything evenly over the crumble cake floor. Now cover it with the remaining crumbles and bake as directed in preheated oven for about 45-55 minutes (baking times may vary depending on oven type and altitude).
