Directions

1. Open your Gold Tone 1-Kup Coffee Filter System by turning the lid counterclockwise. Remove the filter basket from the filter holder. 2. Before first use wash the filter holder, lid and filter basket with warm soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly. 3. Remove the K-Cup (K-Cup is a registered trademark of Keurig, Inc.) chamber assembly with your thumb and index finger. While holding the housing firmly, push up from below with the index finger of your other hand (Fig. A). 4. Fill the filter basket with up to 2-1/2 tablespoons of ground coffee. Adjust to your preference, but do not fill coffee higher than just below the bottom of the filter basket rim. Be sure there are no coffee grounds remaining on the upper rim of the filter basket. 5. Place the filter basket in the filter holder and place lid on top and turn clockwise to close. 6. Place the Gold Tone 1-Kup Coffee Filter System in the K-Cup (K-Cup is a registered trademark of Keurig, Inc.) chamber housing of your coffee maker (Fig. B). Remember you must remove the K-Cup (K-Cup is a registered trademark of Keurig, Inc.) chamber assembly first (See No. 3). 7. Important: There is a needle located in the roof of the pot. With your thumb and index finger pull the grommet (seal) towards the end of the needle. Do this before first use (Fig. B). 8. Lower the handle and the seal will close onto the lid. Brew coffee as you normally do. 9. After brewing, lift the handle and remove the Gold Tone 1-Kup Filter System from the coffee maker. 10. Open the 1-Kup Coffee Filter System by turning the lid counterclockwise. Caution: The filter holder and filter basket may be hot. Lift the filter basket from the filter holder and discard grounds. Rinse thoroughly. Important: After brewing with the Gold Tone 1-Kup Coffee Filter System you must remove it and replace it with the coffee maker's original K-Cup (K-Cup is a registered trademark of Keurig, Inc.) chamber assembly in order to brew a K-Cup (K-Cup is a registered trademark of Keurig, Inc.) portion pack. 11. To replace the coffee maker's original K-Cup (K-Cup is a registered trademark of Keurig, Inc.) chamber assembly, lift then handle of the coffee maker and place the K-Cup (K-Cup is a registered trademark of Keurig, Inc.) chamber assembly into the K-Cup (K-Cup is a registered trademark of Keurig, Inc.) chamber housing, align the three holder tabs with the corresponding housing slots, and press the holder into the housing to snap into place.

Warnings

The Gold Tone 1-Kup Coffee Filter System is designed for ground coffee only. Do not use tea leaves, hot cocoa or other powdered beverages. Do not use the filter basket with the coffee maker's original K-Cup (K-Cup is a registered trademark of Keurig, Inc.) chamber assembly as the needle inside may puncture the filter basket. Caution: Do not place a K-Cup (K-Cup is a registered trademark of Keurig, Inc.) portion pack into the Gold Tone 1-Kup Coffee Filter System as it will cause over pressure in the coffee maker.
