Range Top: 1. Bring 2 cups water to a boil in heavy, 2-quart saucepan (Add 1 tbsp tub margarine and 1 tsp salt per cup of uncooked rice, if desired). 2. Stir in 1 cup of rice. 3. Cover. Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes or until all the water is absorbed. 4. Fluff lightly with a fork and serve. Microwave: It is recommended that only 1 cup rice be prepared in the microwave at a time. 1.
