Croutons, Bread Crumbs (Wheat Flour, Vegetable Oil [Contains One or More of the Following: Cottonseed, Soybean, Palm], Yeast, Salt, Sugar, Sodium Stearoyl, Lactylate, Calcium Propionate, Soybean Flour, Citric Acid), Dextrose, Dehydrated Vegetables [Contains One or More of the Following: Onions, Celery, Garlic, Carrots, Oregano, Parsley], Corn Starch, Spices, Caramel Color.
Directions
Store in a cool dry place. Stove Top: 1. In medium sauce pan, bring to boil 1-1/2 cups water and 3 tablespoons margarine or shortening. Stir in contents of both package. 2. Turn off heat, cover pot and let stand 5-10 minutes. 3. Fluff with a fork and serve. For softer, moister mixture, add an additional 1/4 cup of water. Oven: 1. Follow directions number 1 above. 2. Pour mixture into greased pan, cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes at 375 degrees F for 1 hour. For firmer crust, bake uncovered for last 25 minutes of baking. In the Bird: 1. Follow directions number 1 above. 2. Stuff poultry with the mix, allowing room for expansion during baking. Bake at 325 degrees F until poultry is done. (Meat thermometer inserted in the thickest part of the thigh should register 180 degrees F and 165 degrees F in the center of the stuffing.) Contents sufficient to stuff a fowl of approximately 8 lb. Be creative! Try simple skillet dinners by cooking your vegetables in 1 3/4 cups of water and then adding the stuffing mix items and cook as directed. You can even top with chicken breast or steak that you cooked in the skillet first. Easy meals with easy clean-up! Stuff Individual Chicken Pieces: 1. Follow directions number 1 of stove top. 2. Allow mixture to cool slightly for easier handling. Prepare chicken quarters by trimming excess fat. Hold chicken with drumstick side pointing towards you, skin side up. With your hands, gently ease handfuls of stuffing mixture under the wide side of the skin. Do not pack. Place chicken pieces on cooking sheet and bake in oven at 375 degrees F for 1 hour, or until chicken is done.
