Instacart x FRITO-LAY® Team Up to Announce the Champion Chip

Tapping into basketball fandom throughout the month of March, Instacart and Frito-Lay® have joined forces to launch a multichannel promotional campaign using social media, email, audio, app notifications, and several Instacart Ads formats. Throughout March, the Champion Chip bracket-style tournament will pit popular Frito-Lay® chip brands against each other in head-to-head matchups to determine the most popular snack on Instacart. Fans can weigh in on Instacart’s social channels to show support for their favorites before an ultimate winner is declared. 

During the campaign, consumers can unlock exclusive savings on Frito-Lay® snacks for delivery while shopping from their favorite retailers through the Instacart app.

Instacart Ads — better together

The campaign design takes advantage of multiple channels and ad formats on Instacart. While each on their own can help with a particular objective like increasing brand awareness or maximizing sales on Instacart, deploying  multiple Instacart Ads formats concurrently creates a whole that is bigger than the sum of its parts*.

The Power of Co-Marketing

The Champion Chip Bracket campaign is the latest example of Instacart’s CPG co-marketing solution, which provides select brands with the opportunity to partner with us during key tentpole moments and elevate their brand and products alongside us.

Will fan tournament favorite FUNYUNS® run the slate or will Cool Ranch DORITOS® pull off a stunning upset to become the official Champion Chip? You can do your part by stocking up on your favorite chips brands during the campaign. And we’ll announce the winning snack on Instagram on April 2nd.
