Ducktrap smoked trout is a savory delicacy. Trout fillets are brined and gently hot smoked with a unique blend of maple, oak, cherry, and apple woods. The mild taste, moistness and texture make this a longstanding Ducktrap favorite.

Serving Suggestions: To maximize flavor, serve at room temperature. Smoked trout can be served as an hors d' oeuvre on toast or a cracker, plain or with lemon juice, mayonnaise or a combination of whipped cream and horseradish. Serve highly sauteed with eggs for breakfast, or as a main course warmed in the oven and topped with hollandaise sauce and chopped parsley.
Keep refrigerated at 38 degrees F (3 degrees C) or less. Storage: Ducktrap smoked trout has been carefully sealed in a vacuum package. Because we use no artificial preservatives, It must be keep refrigerated at 38 degrees F or less when not being served. It is best stored unopened until the Use by date on the package. Unopened, it can be frozen for up to 3 months. After opening, it should be kept well wrapped in the refrigerator and eaten within 4 days.
