Instacart Express is a membership option for customers who want to use Instacart regularly. For a flat annual cost or a low monthly fee, you can enjoy unlimited free deliveries on all orders $35 or more.*

*The $35 order minimum must be met for each retailer within an order.


Instacart Express benefits

Instacart Express members enjoy exclusive benefits on every order—

  • $0 delivery fees on orders of $35 or more (typically starting at $3.99 for non-Express)
  • Reduced service fees*
  • No busy pricing fees during peak delivery hours
  • Shop at a variety of stores with free delivery on the entire order

*The service fee covers a broad range of operating costs including shopper operations, insurance, background checks, and Instacart Care.

As an Express member, you can see how much your membership saves you on each order at checkout or in your account.

  • At checkout, you’ll see Instacart Express benefits with a yellow bolt icon. Below, it breaks down your savings on service and delivery fees.
  • In Your Account, select Instacart Express. Here you'll see information about your Express Membership, such as when you became a member, how many orders you’ve placed, and your total savings from reduced service fees and $0 delivery fees on orders of $35 or more.

Instacart Express Pricing

You don't need a membership to shop with Instacart.

However, if you want extra savings you can sign up for an Instacart Express membership to enjoy exclusive benefits on every order. You can pay either monthly or annually for an Instacart Express membership.

Note: Instacart gift cards cannot be used to pay for Instacart Express unless a gift card specifically for redemption of an Instacart Express membership is usedThis membership does not give you faster delivery or earlier time slots than other customers. Likewise, membership with Instacart Express does not guarantee that specific delivery slots will be available for a given delivery.  Service fees may apply. Signing up for an Instacart Express membership

You can sign up for an Instacart Express membership in the app or on the website.

In the app—

  1. Tap the 3 horizontal lines in the upper left-hand corner.
  2. Tap Instacart Express.
  3. Choose your preferred plan (annual/monthly).
  4. Tap Choose Annual/Monthly Plan.

On the website—

  1. At the top left, click the 3 horizontal lines.
  2. Click Instacart Express.
  3. Choose your preferred plan (annual/monthly).
  4. Click Choose Annual/Monthly Plan.

Managing your Instacart Express membership

Existing Instacart Express members can update the auto-renew, payment settings, and even set membership reminders on our website or in your Instacart app. 

To manage your Express membership, log in to your account in the Instacart app or website.

In the app—

  1. Tap the 3 horizontal lines in the upper left-hand corner.
  2. Tap Instacart Express.
  3. Under Membership plan, you can change your plan to Monthly/Annual or turn off or on auto-renew.
    • Tap Turn off/on auto renew or Manage plan.

On the website—

  1. Click the 3 horizontal lines in the upper left-hand corner.
  2. Click Instacart Express.
  3. Under Membership plan, you can change your plan to Monthly/Annual or turn off or on auto-renew.
    • Click Turn off/on auto renew or Manage plan.

To update your payment method on the app or website–

  1. Select the 3 horizontal lines in the upper left-hand corner.
  2. Select Instacart Express.
  3. Under Payment method, select Update my card to choose a new preferred method.
  4. Select Add new credit card to add a new one.
  5. Enter the payment information and click Save Changes.

Cancel or change your Instacart Express membership

To cancel or change your membership plan on the app or website–

  1. Select the 3 horizontal lines in the upper left-hand corner.
  2. Select Instacart Express.
  3. At the bottom right corner of the page, select Cancel membership
    • If you think you may change your mind, you can also have a reminder sent to you three days before the membership renews.
    • On the Express page, you’ll be able to see your membership end date, after which your membership will end.
  4. Select Continue to cancel.

  5. Select your reason for leaving from the dropdown list.

  6. Select Cancel.

You can return back to this page and select Renew membership at any time to become an Instacart Express member again.

*For all members, you may cancel your Instacart Express membership within the first 15 calendar days of your paid Instacart Express membership and receive a refund of the Instacart Express membership fee you paid, but only if you have not placed any orders using your Instacart Express membership. If you cancel at any other time, you will not receive a refund, but you can continue to enjoy the Free Deliveries through the end of your billing period.
