Less calcium and vitamin D in new formula!!
Reviewed on January 12, 2020 by Not happy with new formula on silk.com
I just went to the store to get my typical Silk unsweetened almond milk and I see that the new formula has less calcium and less vitamen D than the old formula. That is really upsetting to me because Silk almond milk is one of my main sources of calcium. The old formula had 45% of daily calcium needs per serving while the new formula only has 30%. The old one had 25% of vitamen D needs and the new has only 10%. This is a big difference in nutritional value! (I have atraxhef a picture - new formula in the right and old formula in the left). Please bring back the old formula!!

Nobody likes almond milk like Silk!
        Reviewed on June 28, 2018 by SCVegan1231 on silk.com
I've had every single almond milk on the market and have been drinking almond milk for almost 10 years now. NOBODY makes almond milk like Silk! It's been my choice brand for 7 years now and I'll never switch. Even though I like to try new products from time to time, I'm always disappointed in everything but Silk. I love that Silk no longer uses lechithin in their almond milk, too. Plus, all their almond milk is vegan, has ZERO carrageenan, and they have so many low sugar and no sugar added products. Thank you, Silk! The unsweetened vanilla almond milk is incredible! Would love to see an unsweetened organic vanilla almond milk in the future!

"New Silky Smooth Taste You'll Love"?????
Reviewed on April 24, 2018 by Tony G. Former Silk Drinker on silk.com
My family have been drinking Silk Original Unsweetened for a number years, but the last carton we bought had the "New Silky Smooth Taste You'll Love" label, and I can honestly say not only do I not "love" it, but I will not buy this product again. The texture is different, more watery, and the taste is appalling, I thought the carton had expired. I don't usually take the time to write feed back or reviews, but the product is so bad, something had to be said.

        Only 1 complaint
Reviewed on March 29, 2022 by NKCJulie on silk.com
I have gotten this several times and really like the flavor. The only complaint I have is the pour spout on the carton. I have arthritis in my hands and feel like sometime I need a pair of plyers to get a hold of the cap and be able to turn it. If they could make it just a bit taller and maybe wider it would have been a 5 star review.

        Time to change
Reviewed on March 10, 2019 by Iulia on silk.com
What a shame you changed the flavor. I don't like the "natural flavor" thing anyway as it's not natural. I've been drinking this almond milk for the last 7 years, however, I will find another brand without all the unnecessary additions. The new taste it's sweet and yuck... You might attract new customers, however, you will loose many of the old. If this was the intention, congratulations...you've meet your goal. Bought one cartoon that it will go down the drain.

I am very disappointed with the new taste.
Reviewed on April 16, 2018 by M in Ottawa on silk.com
Silk Almond milk (unsweetened, original) used to be my favorite almond milk. It doesn't have carrageenan and had a creamy flavour compared to others. Now, it leaves a burnt aftertaste in the mouth and I have to wonder what you added to the product to get that "new smoother flavour". These days, you can't just trust that it is something innocent/healthy. Unfortunately, if the flavour doesn't return to the original, I believe will have to find another product.

New Flavor Made me buy Other Brands
Reviewed on October 11, 2017 by rjmauels on silk.com
I've been buying and enjoying Silk Almond Milk for over 5 years. Last week, I thought a carton had gone bad, so I poured it out and opened another. It tasted the same. That's when I noticed the yellow "New flavor" banner. I forced myself to drink half of it... and couldn't drink any more. I poured it out and returned my remaining cartons to the store. Silk - please let me know when you've fixed this. Until then, I'm sadly buying other brands.

        Finally, no B12!
Reviewed on May 8, 2017 by Yay, No B12 on silk.com
My body doesn't tolerate non natural B12 (that found naturally in foods) and causes severe illness. When B12 is added to a product it is actually Cyanocobalamin, a synthetic and harmful even thought to perpetuate a b12 deficinancy. People who avoid cynthetic b12 find their natural b12 levels return to a non defincient state. Either way there are illness' where people cannot tolerate b12 and it is extremely hard to find foods that it isn't added to. I appreciate silk not adding a non natural ingredient to this almond milk and hope they continue to offer it.

Oh no! Added Sunflower oil to Almond milk!!!

We have loved Silk Unsweetened Original Almond Milk for a long time because it doesn’t have oils in it that are inflammatory. We are SO disappointed to see that you have added Sunflower Oil to the ingredients! Please return to the old recipe!! Otherwise, we can’t drink it anymore!!!

        Frustrated
Reviewed on August 19, 2022 by Kago on silk.com
I love the unsweetened vanilla. I’m so upset this one contains sunflower oil while the vanilla one does not. I bought this in replacement for the unsweetened vanilla one. My own mistake for not checking the ingredients as I assumed it would’ve been oil free as the one I normally purchase is.

The "new taste" is really, really bad
Reviewed on September 26, 2018 by BM on silk.com
I have been drinking the original unsweetened vanilla milk for years. It was great; rich and delicious but not overly sweet. This new flavor leaves a lot to be desired. It now tastes very watered down and leaves an awful aftertaste in my mouth. At first it's sort of like drinking dirty water but then the aftertaste kicks in. Basically it's what I imagine water would taste like if perfume was sprayed into it. Gross. Hopefully they'll go back to the original taste.

What in the world did you do to the Unsweetened Almond Milk!!?? It tastes watered down. Thought it was spoiled. So I compared labels and ingredients have changed?!?! If you are trying to save money by doing this you are going to loose a lot of customers! It is no longer tastes good like it did. Guess I need to start trying other brands. Please change it back to the original recipe...please!! And advise me as I will come back to drinking this milk. I cannot even give it One Star! Oh guess I have to give it One Star to exit this review.
