Our Story: When pastry Chef Nancy Silverton couldn't find artisan bread good enough for her restaurant, she spent a year crafting the perfect recipe, creating bread with a caramelized, golden crust, soft inside, and rustic appearance. Her signature recipe resulted in such delicious artisan bread that she opened L Brea Bakery on La Brea Avenue. When there were people lined up outside her bakery every morning, and the bread sold out by 11 am, she knew she had a hit. Nancy Silverton. Garlic Loaf: Our garlic loaf is rich, soft and aromatic. Baked with roasted garlic for a perfectly moist and savory flavor.
Unbleached Enriched Flour (wheat Flour, Malted Barley Flour, Niacin, Reduced Iron, Thiamine Mononitrate, Riboflavin, Folic Acid), Water, Sour Culture, Roasted Garlic, Salt, Cultured Wheat Flour, Yeast, Olive Oil, Garlic, Alpha Amylase, Maltodextrin.
Baking Instructions: Preheat conventional oven to 375 degrees F. Remove all outside packaging. Place bread directly on center oven rack. If bread is room temperature, bake 10-12 minutes, or until crust is golden brown. If bread is frozen, bake 18-20 minutes or until crust is golden brown. Allow bread to cool before enjoying. Baker's Notes: For a crispier crust, bake at max time. All ovens vary; adjust baking times as necessary. Store any unbaked bread in a sealed plastic bag and freeze for later use.
