For great tasting tacos and tortillas, you will need: 1-1/2 pound ground beef or boneless chicken breasts, 1 package ortega taco seasoning (included), 1 package ortega taco sauce (included), and 1 cup of water. Toppings: ortega diced green chiles, shredded lettuce, cheddar cheese, black olives, avocado, and vegetables.
Brown ground beef or chicken breasts*; drain. Add water and taco seasoning mix. Heat until thickened, stirring often. Remove taco shells from plastic container. Bake shells in preheated 350 degrees f oven 3 to 4 minutes or microwave on high 40 to 60 seconds. Remove tortillas from plastic pouch. Microwave on high 10-15 seconds until warm. Or warm in small skillet over medium-high heat, turning frequently. Fill taco shells or tortillas with meat or chicken mixture and top with taco sauce and other toppings. *For boneless chicken breasts, cut up into strips and cook until no longer pink.
