How to Cook with Argo®
To thicken hot liquids first mix Argo® Corn Starch with a little cold water until smooth, gradually stir into hot liquid until blended. Stirring constantly, bring to a boil; boil 1 minute.
1 Tbsp. Argo® Corn Starch = 2 Tbsp. flour.
Argo® Corn Starch has twice the thickening power of flour. When a gravy, sauce or soup calls for flour, use half as much corn starch to thicken.
To make Cake Flour: For 1 cup cake flour combine 3/4 cup plus 2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour with 2 Tbsp. Argo® Corn Starch.
