Feeding directions:
Adult dogs: adult dogs with normal activity may be fed once daily. Depending on your dog's age and activity, serving sizes may vary slightly from the recommended daily feeding guide portions. Companion kibbles & munchy morsels dog food can be fed moistened. To feed moistened, mix 1/4 cup of water to 2 cups of Companion kibbles & munchy morsels dog food. If fed moistened, do not serve more than what the dog will consume in a thirty-minute period to ensure product freshness. Pregnant, nursing, or hardworking dogs or dogs exposed to cold weather may require 2-3 times these amounts. When high activity or other factors require high feed intake, twice a day feeding is recommended.
Weaning puppies: start puppies on Companion kibbles & munchy morsels dog food as soon as they begin to chew on solid food, usually 3-4 weeks of age. Add warm water to soften the food and after 8 weeks, mix with water or feed dry. Allow them to eat as much as they want until fully weaned (6-8 weeks of age).
Growing puppies: after weaning, feed them all they want three times daily to six months of age and twice daily to 12 months of age. After one year, follow adult feeding instructions.
Feeding tip: changes to your pet's feeding should be made gradually. Blend increasing amounts of Companion kibbles & crunchy morsels with his/her current food until your pet has a 100% Companion kibbles & crunchy morsels diet. Use the transition feeding tips as a guide.
Remember to provide plenty of fresh, clean water in a clean container at all times.
