Cold therapy is a recognized medical treatment for everyday minor injuries and generally applied within 72 hours following sprains, strains, swelling, headaches, nose bleeds, toothaches, minor cuts and scrapes, insect bites and minor injuries. Heat therapy is generally applied to chronic or persistent injuries such as minor muscle and joint pain, stiffness, muscle spasm and cramps. Ideal for use on all parts of the body including: Knee, Ankle, Elbow, Wrist, Hand, Fingers, Foot, Toes. Carefully read all instructions and warnings located on Gel Pack before use. Heating instructions. Microwave method: 1. Place Gel Pack on a paper towel in the microwave by laying flat or fold in half. 2. Heat at full power (microwave ovens vary, follow recommended heating requirements below). Wattage - heating time. 700 - 1 minute. 1000 - 50 seconds. Note: Gel pack must be at room temperature before heating in microwave. Discontinue heating if gel pack expands like a balloon, pack is overheated. 3. Before removing Gel Pack from the microwave carefully check the Gel Pack for any signs of possible rupture or leakage. If any leakage is found simply wait for the Gel Pack to cool down before removing and discarding. 4. Carefully check for desired temperature. If gel pack is too hot allow to cool before applying. If gel pack is not hot enough, microwave for additional 10 second intervals, until a safe and desired temperature is reached. 5. Knead Gel pack to distribute heat evenly. 6. Always insert hot gel pack into insulated sleeve or wrap with a towel before applying. Stovetop method: 1. Bring 3 quarts (3.5 litres) of water to a boil. 2. Remove water from heat source. Never immerse gel pack while water is being heated. 3. Remove gel pack from insulated sleeve, then immerse pack in hot water for 5-7 minutes. 4. Carefully remove hot gel pack from water using kitchen tongs (do not use sharp utensils) and towel dry. 5. Carefully check the gel pack for any signs of possible rupture or leakage (discard if pack leaks). 6. Carefully check for desired temperature. If gel pack is too hot allow to cool before applying. 7. Always insert hot gel rack into insulated sleeve or wrap into a towel before applying. Cold compress therapy is medically recommended within the first 72 hours following most sprains, strains, swelling and minor injuries. Cooling instructions: Freezer method: 1. Place gel pack flat in freezer for at least 2 hours for the first time use (for repeat treatments place back in freezer for 30 minutes). 2. Remove cold gel pack from freezer and place into the protective sleeve or wrap in a towel before applying, to protect the skin from frostbite. 3. Apply the insulated cold gel pack to the affected area for approximately 25 minutes, elevating the injury if possible. Return the gel pack to freezer for about 30 minutes. 4. During treatment inspect the skin every 5 minutes where compress is applied. If any discoloration or redness occurs discontinue treatment at once. 5. Repeat 2 or 3 times for single treatment. Repeat treatment several times each day until pain or swelling subsides.

To eliminate the possibility of skin burns always use the sleeve or towel when handling or applying the hot gel pack. - Pick Specific Replacement: You can pick a specific alternative for the shopper to purchase if your first choice is out-of-stock.
- Don't Replace: For items you'd rather not replace, choose "Don't replace" to get a refund if the item is out of stock.
