Ingredients

Contents: Equaline Multi-Purpose Solution, a Sterile, Isotonic Solution That Contains Poloxamer, Sodium Phosphate Buffer, Sodium Chloride, and Disodium Edetate, Preserved with Polyhexanide (0.0001%), Contains No Chlorhexidine or Thimerosal.

Directions

No Rub Lens Care: For the cleaning and disinfection of soft (hydrophilic) contact lenses replaced in 30 days or less. Step 1: Rinse: Thoroughly rinse each side of the lens for 5 seconds with fresh Equaline Multi-Purpose Solution. Step 2: Soak: Fill the lens case with enough fresh Equaline Multi-Purpose Solution to cover the lenses and close the storage case tightly. Soak overnight or for at least six hours, for disinfection, cleaning and protein removal. Rinse each side of the lenses for 5 seconds with fresh Equaline Multi-Purpose Solution prior to insertion. Your lenses are ready to wear only when all the above steps are completed. Your eye care professional may recommend additional products or procedures (such as rubbing your lens with a separate daily cleaner and rinsing with saline), to care for your lenses based on individual tear chemistry and lens wearing schedule. Always follow your eye care professional's instructions. Directions for use for lenses replaced in greater than 30 days: Place at least three drops of Equaline Multi-Purpose Solution on each side of contact lens and rub for 20 seconds. Thoroughly rinse your lenses with fresh Equaline Multi-Purpose Solution. Then follow the instructions above to place the lens in the lens case and to fill it with fresh solution. Allow your lenses to soak overnight or for at least six hours, for disinfection, cleaning and protein removal. Your lenses are now ready to wear. If any debris remains on contact lenses, rinse with Equaline Multi-Purpose Solution prior to insertion. Storage: You may store lenses in the unopened case for up to 30 days. If not wearing the contact lenses immediately, you may store in unopened lens case for up to 30 days. After this time, your lenses must be cleaned and disinfected with fresh Equaline Multi-Purpose Solution every 30 days and prior to wear.

Warnings

Precautions: never reuse equaline multi-purpose solution. Always discard the remaining solution from the lens case. Store at room temperature. Use before the expiration date marked on the carton and bottle. Discard contents of the bottle 3 months after opening. Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use. Keep out of reach of children. Problems with contact lenses and lens care products could result in serious injury to the eye. It is essential that you follow your eye care practitioner's directions and all labeling instructions for proper use and care of your lenses and lens care products, including the lens case. Eye problems, including corneal ulcers, can develop rapidly and lead to loss of vision. Daily wear lenses are not indicated for overnight wear and should not be worn while sleeping. Clinical studies have shown the risk of serious adverse reactions is increased when these lenses are worn overnight. Extended wear lenses should be regularly removed for cleaning and disinfection or for disposal and replacement on the schedule prescribed by your eye care practitioner. Clinical studies have shown that there is an increased incidence of serious adverse reactions in extended wear contact lens users as compared to the daily wear contact lens users. Studies have also shown that the risk of serious adverse reactions increases the longer extended wear lenses are worn before removal for cleaning and disinfection or for disposal and replacement. Clinical studies have also shown that smokers have a high incidence of adverse reactions. If you experience eye discomfort, excessive tearing, vision changes, or redness of the eye, immediately remove your lenses and promptly contact your eye care practitioner. All contact lens wearers should see their eye care practitioner as directed. To avoid contamination, do not touch tip of container to any surface. Replace cap after using. To avoid contaminating your solution, do not transfer solution to other bottles or containers. Not for use with heat (thermal) disinfection. Do not wear the lenses unless you have allowed them to soak for at least six (6) hours in equaline multi-purpose solution as directed. Precautions: never reuse this solution. Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use. Store at room temperature. Use before the expiration date marked on the carton and bottle. Keep out of the reach of children. Not for use with heat (thermal) disinfection. Adverse reactions: (problems and what to do) - the following problems may occur: eyes sting, burn or itch (irritation). Comfort is less than when lens was first placed on the eye, feeling of something in the eye (foreign body, scratched area), excessive watering (tearing) of the eye, unusual eye secretions, redness of the eye, reduced sharpness of vision (poor visual acuity), blurred vision, rainbows or halos around objects, sensitivity to light (photophobia), or dry eyes. If you notice any of the above: immediately remove your lenses - if the discomfort or problem stops, then look closely at the lens. If the lens is in any way damaged, do not put the lens back on your eye. Place the lens in the storage case and contact your eye care practitioner. If the lens has dirt, an eyelash, or other foreign body on it, or the problem stops and the lens appears undamaged, thoroughly clean, rinse and disinfect the lens, then reinsert it. If the problem continues, immediately remove the lens and consult your eye care practitioner. If any of the above symptoms occur, a serious condition such as infection, corneal ulcer, neovascularization or iritis may be present. Seek immediate professional identification of the problem and prompt treatment to avoid serious eye damage. Good lens care practices: always wash and rinse your hands before handling your lenses. This will help to prevent eye infections by removing dirt and oils that could get on the lenses. Use only the solutions recommended by your eye care practitioner. Seek advice from your eye care practitioner before making any changes to your care regimen to ensure compatibility with lenses. Always follow the directions for use in the labeling included with each solution as instructions may be different for each solution. Clean, rinse and disinfect your lenses each time you remove them. Always handle the same lens, the left or the right, first in order to avoid mix-ups. After use, always empty and rinse the lens case with fresh multi-purpose solution, and allow to air dry.
