        New Recipe = not good
        Reviewed on June 11, 2021 by Slam_duncan on Nestle’s goodNes.com
I started buying these a couple months ago in an effort to eat healthier. The protein lover’s burrito was one of the best breakfast foods I have ever had. This past week I bought my normal week’s worth of burritos only to find out they’ve changed the recipe and it’s truly disgusting and now it’s MORE calories so you don’t even get the trade off of it being healthier. Hopefully they change it back eventually because right now I’m never buying these again. And before the customer service employee can send their canned response that “we haven’t changed our recipe” I’m including a photo showing the wrapper explicitly stating ITS A NEW RECIPE.

I used to buy $1k worth of these burritos a year.... no more, the “new recipe” is total garbage!! Not only is the burrito now 0.5 oz smaller it’s somehow higher in calories, sodium and cholesterol!! How?!? Please bring back the old recipe!!! My disappointment is immeasurable and my breakfast is ruined!!

        New Recipe Is Awful
        Reviewed on June 1, 2021 by Derek D on Nestle’s goodNes.com
I used to eat these pretty much every morning. They went so well with hot sauce and I loved the taste and texture, to which I would have given 5 stars. It gets 1 star now because the recipe is absolutely terrible. I bought a week's worth and am probably going to try to pawn them off on someone or toss them. The new recipe tastes like some cheap thanksgiving stovetop stuffing in loaf form. The texture is absolutely atrocious as well. I desperately hope they fix this after some of the feedback from me and others but I'm not holding my breath.

Used to be the best, now it is the worst
        Reviewed on June 27, 2021 by Luke42 on Nestle’s goodNes.com
The new recipe for this burrito is truly horrible. My wife and I LOVED this burrito and ate it regularly because it was quick to prepare during hectic mornings. Now it is literally inedible. I have no idea why you’d change the recipe for this. If you want to add an additional variant that’s one thing, but why change the recipe entirely for an existing product? We now have a bunch of these inedible things sitting in the freezer. Please, please bring the original version back. It was the best frozen burrito we’ve ever had by a mile.

I was so glad to finally find a frozen breakfast food that was healthy, tasty and quick. I started scooping these up in bulk at the grocery store and eating them most mornings. Then, just a few weeks later, they changed the recipe. Now it tastes like if someone ate a slimy, two day old omelette and then did that thing that mother birds do where they digest it somewhat and then vomit it into your mouth. I have forced myself through two of them, I think that's all I can do. At this point, I think the only viable use for this "food" would be for niche fetishists to punish each other in some sort of consumption-oriented bdsm scenario.

        From Delicious to TRASH

My girlfriend and I used to purchase the Protein Lovers burritos by the box every single week, an absolute staple on our grocery list. They were amazing, especially with hot sauce! Utterly dissatisfied with the new recipe and the massive lack of flavor and texture in the burrito. On top of that: higher calories, less protein, and more sodium... what on SweetEarth happened!? This new recipe is absolute trash. We are now pregnant with our first child and all my lady wants is the old recipe back, she's been robbed of her cravings! Been on the search for a new brand to buy because we will not be purchasing the new recipe any more. Big thumbs down from us.

New Protein Lover's Recipe is AWFUL!

I've read the comments here and the responses from Sweet Earth are, "We haven't changed the recipe". Okay? Then why does the new packaging state, "New Recipe"? This new recipe is awful! I get nauseous eating it. Please change back to the original recipe. I ate these burritos almost every day for the past few years and loved them so much, but I won't be eating anymore until it's changed back. Why would you update a recipe that seems to be working? Anyway, please listen to your customers. Regards

I eat these everyday. Well at least I did...they have changed the recipe. Now the great meat flavor is gone replaced by a mealy eggy greasy salty filling. I can’t even eat what I’ve purchased. Just awful. Why in the world would they change the best thing out there into this!?!? If I could give it zero stars I would. Boooo!

I have been getting the old recipe with benevolent bacon every day and when I received my grocery order this week I thought they gave me the wrong burrito. I loved the pizza flavor and now it tastes like a basic sausage and peppers omelet. Will not be buying 6 a week anymore and idk what to to with the 5 left in my freezer but I am not looking forward to eating them anymore and this was my favorite quick breakfast.

        New Recipe is Unacceptable

I used to buy a case of the old recipe each week. New recipe tastes and smells terrible. Would be better if you remove any semblance of "meat" and put some tastier vegetables in there. The old recipe's meat stuff was delicious though.

I used to eat these burritos nearly daily but they changed the recipe recently and now it’s vile. I have 10 sitting in my freezer which I will throw away. I’m so disappointed because the old recipe was the perfect quick, easy and healthy breakfast.

New Version is a Major Downgrade
        Reviewed on July 9, 2021 by TDG777 on Nestle’s goodNes.com
My wife and I ate the old version of these burritos regularly. Never a good sign when something that didn't need fixing suddenly has "new recipe" on the packaging, but we gave it a shot. How different could it be? Turns out it is VERY different. It's not at all similar to the previous version. It's not a tweaked recipe. It's an entirely new burrito that happens to share a name with the other one. What once had great flavor and texture has been replaced by a slimy, mushy interior that tastes a lot like their vile cheeseburger burrito. Hard pass on this. I hope they go back to the old recipe.
