Preparation Instructions: Product needs to be thoroughly cooked. Dry bears must be soaked before cooking. Difference in altitude, hardness d water and product moisture may change the suggested cook time. Quick soak: (1) Sort and rinse beans in a large pot. (2) To 1 lb of beans (about 2 cups) add 6-8 cups hot water.( 3) Bring to rapid boil, boil for 2 minute.( 4) Remove from heat. Cover and let stand 1 hour. (5) Drain sack water and rinse beans. Overnight soak: (1) Sort and rinse beans in a large Pot. (2) To 1 lb of beam (about 2 cups) add 6-8 cups cold water. (3) Let stand overnight or at least 6 to 8 hours. (4) Drain soak water and rinse beans. Cooking instructions: (1) Add 6 cups of hot water to drained and rinsed beans. (2) Simmer gently with lid tilted until desired tenderness is reached, about 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Beans are a natural agricultural ,product. Despite use of modem cleaning equipment, it is not always possible to remove all foreign material. Sort and rinse beans before cooking.
