Keep frozen. Cooking (For best result when breading or marinating frozen Tyson If Chicken, remove the protective ice glaze by holding under lukewarm running water for about 1 minute.): Grill: 1. Preheat gas grill to Medium heat. 2. Grill Split Cornish, bone side down, 20-30 minutes from frozen (15-20 minutes it thawed). 3. Turn Split Cornish and grill an additional 30 minutes (20-30 minutes if thawed), turning once or until juices run clear when thickest part of chicken is pierced and Split Cornish is golden brown and temperature on instant read thermometer reaches 180 degrees F. If using a charcoal grill, you may need to add an additional 15 to 25 minutes cooking time. Conventional Oven: 1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. 2. Place Split Cornish skin side up on a foil lined baking pan. 3. Bake uncovered from frozen 65 to 75 minutes (50 to 60 minutes if thawed), or until juices run clear when thickest part of chicken is pierced and temperature on instant read thermometer reaches 180 degrees F. Basic Thawing (Optional): Refrigerator: Place unopened bag or portion needed (covered with plastic wrap) in a large bowl or pan, and refrigerate on bottom shelf of refrigerator overnight. Microwave: Following your manuals defrost instructions; thaw no more than 2 split Cornish at a time on a microwaveable plate covered with plastic wrap. Rotate plate one quarter turn 4 times during defrost cycle, checking hens before each rotation. Turn Split Cornish over and recover with plastic wrap halfway through defrost cycle. Appliances vary. Cooking times approximate. Adjust accordingly to ensure internal temperature reaches 180 degrees F. Using a digital thermometer, cook to internal temperature of 180 degrees F to ensure fully cooked chicken.
