Chow Mein (Serves 4): 2 T oil; 1/2 lb pork, beef, or chicken, cut into strips; 1 C onions, sliced; 1/2 C sliced water chestnuts; 1/2 C sliced bamboo shoots; 1 C celery, sliced; 1/2 C mushrooms, sliced; 2 C vegetables, sliced; 1 C beansprouts; 1/2 C won ton soup stock. Sauce: 3/4 C won ton soup stock; 1/2 t salt; 2 t soy sauce; 2 T cornstarch; 1/2 pkg (6 oz) chow mein noodles. Stir fry meat in hot oil for 2 minutes or until done. Add all vegetables and 1/2 cup soup stock, cover, bring to a boil and cook for 1 minute. Combine all sauce ingredients and add to vegetables. Bring to a full boil, stirring constantly.
