Preparation Instructions: Stove Top: 1. In a 2-quart saucepan, combine 1 cup of rice with 2-3/4 cups of water. Add 1 Tablespoon butter, margarine or oil of desired. 2. Stir and bring to a boil on medium-high heat uncovered. 3. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 30 to 35 minutes or until water is absorbed. 4. Remove from heat and let stand for 5 minutes before serving. Microwave (Cook times may vary due to microwave): 1. In a 2-quart microwave-safe dish, combine 1 cup of rice with 2-3/4 cups of water. Add 1 Tablespoon butter margarine or oil if desired. 2. Microwave, covered, on high for 10 minutes. 3. Keep covered and microwave at 50% power for 20 minutes or until tender. 4. Remove from microwave and let stand covered for 5 minutes before serving.
