crispy rice and peanut butter squares - serves 12, all you need - 1/2 cup hy-vee light corn syrup, 1/4 cup hy-vee sugar, 1/4 cup hy-vee packed brown sugar, 1/2 cup hy-vee peanut butter, 2-1/2 cups hy-vee crispy rice cereal. All you do - 1. Spray 8-inch square baking pan with nonstick cooking spray. 2. In large saucepan, bring corn syrup and sugars to boil over medium heat, stirring frequently. Remove from heat. 3. Stir in peanut butter until smooth. Quickly add cereal, stirring until all pieces are evenly coated. 4. Press into prepared pan with back of buttered spoon. 5. Cool before cutting into squares. Store in airtight container. Microwave directions - 1. Spray 8-inch square baking pan with nonstick cooking spray. 2. In large microwave-safe bowl combine corn syrup and sugars. 3. Microwave on high 2-1/2 to 3 minutes or until mixture just comes to boil, stirring after 2 minutes. 4. Stir in peanut butter until smooth.
