Cooked Organic Basmati Rice (Water and Rice), Cooked Ivory Lentils (Water, Lentils and Organic Canola Oil), Organic Canola Oil, Red Jalapenos, Seasoning (Evaporated Cane Sugar, Salt, Citric Acid, Natural Flavor, Turmeric, Lemon Oil), Mustard Seeds, Natural Lemon Flavor, Organic Soy Lecithin.


Directions

Keep frozen. Preparation: Microwave Oven: 1. Place rice pouch in Microwave with seam side up. 2. Heat on high for about 3 minutes. 3. Allow time for steam to vent, tear or cut open pouch and empty contents. Serve & enjoy! Note: Microwave ovens vary, pouch should balloon up with steam pressure and maintain this balloon state for about 30 seconds. Stovetop: 1. Empty contents of rice pouch into a medium covered sauce pan. 2. Heat over medium low heat, stirring frequently for 8 to 12 minutes until hot. Note: While heating, to maintain moisture, add a little water and keep covered. This dish is great all by itself as a complete meal, but can also be paired in many ways. Vegetarian Meal: Great with grilled eggplant or sauteed vegetables with cumin. Make it a complete vegetarian meal with chickpeas, white or red beans, or my Curried Lentils. Seafood: Buttered shrimp or lobster pair beautifully with this delicate lemony pilaf. A simple grilled white fish would only be made better alongside this dish. Poultry: Sauteed chicken breasts, herb roasted chicken, even saucy curries are a grand slam. Cornish game hen would be incredibly elegant for a sophisticated feast.
