Welcome to the sweet life – sugar free. Applegate Organic Hickory Smoked No Sugar Uncured Bacon is good old-fashioned hardwood smoked bacon without any sugar, hickory smoked to perfection. We source our meat from family farms. Where animals are treated with care and respect and are allowed to grow at their natural rate. That means no antibiotics and no growth promotants. We believe this results in food that tastes great and offers peace of mind all part of our mission. Changing the meat we eat. USDA Organic. Whole30 Approved.
No nitrates or nitrites added (Except those naturally occurring in sea salt and celery powder). Pork raised with no antibiotics ever (Pork never administered antibiotics or animal by-products). Applegate humanely raised (Pork raised with no crates ever on family farms on organic vegetarian feed and no ractopamine (a beta-agonist growth promotant)).

Safe Handling Instructions: This product was prepared from inspected and passed meat and/or poultry. Some food products may contain bacteria that could cause illness if the product is mishandled or cooked improperly. For your protection, follow these safe handling instructions. Keep refrigerated or frozen. Thaw in refrigerator or microwave. Keep raw meat and poultry separate from other foods. Wash working surfaces (including cutting boards), utensils, and hands after touching raw meat or poultry. Cook thoroughly. Keep hot foods hot. Refrigerate leftovers immediately or discard.
Place bacon slices in skillet. Cook over medium - low heat, turning frequently. To desired crispness. Drain on paper towels. Heat oven to 400 degrees F. Separate slices and place on rack in shallow baking pan. Bake 15 - 20 minutes or to desired crispness. No turning is necessary. Cooking (Appliances vary, heating times approximate).
Not preserved. Keep refrigerated below 40 degrees F at all times. After opening, uncured bacon keeps for 5 days in refrigeration. Can freeze up to 12 months.
