Enriched Long Grain Rice [Rice, Niacin, Iron (Ferric Orthophosphate), Thiamin (Thiamin Mononitrate), Folic Acid].
To retain vitamins, do not rinse before or after cooking. Cooking directions: Range top: 1. Bring 2 cups water to a boil in a 2-quart heavy saucepan.* 2. Stir in 1 cup of rice. 3. Cover. Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes or until all the water is absorbed. 4. Fluff lightly with a fork and serve. For drier rice use 1/4 cup less water. For moister rice use 1/4 cup more water. Note: For best results, do not lift lid or stir while cooking. Makes 4 servings, 3/4 cup each. Microwave: 1. In a 2-quart microwave-safe dish combine 2 cups of water and 1 cup of rice.* 2. Cover. Microwave on high for 5 minutes. 3. Reduce setting to 50% power, microwave for 15 minutes or until all the water is absorbed. 4. Fluff lightly with fork and serve. For drier rice use 1/4 cup less water. For moister rice use 1/4 cup more water. If your microwave does not have variable power settings follow manufacturer's directions.
