Preparation Instructions: Combine rice, water, and butter (optional) in medium saucepan, according to chart below. Season with salt if desired. Bring to a boil. Cover and reduce heat to low and simmer 12-15 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand covered 10 minutes. Ruff with fork before serving. 2-3 Servings: 1/2 cup rice; 3/4 cup water or broth; 2 tsp butter or oil (optional). 4-6 Servings: 1 cup rice; 1-1/2 cups water or broth; 1 tbsp butter or oil (optional). 8-10 Servings: 2 cups rice; 3 cups water or broth; 2 tbsp butter or oil (optional).
