10 mins. fast & easy. Auto air conditioning. Stops leaks. Up to 30 degrees colder air. Avalanche contains 11 oz. of R-134a (1,1,1,2 Tetrafluoroethane) and 1 oz. of PAG oil with a proprietary formula of additives to ensure maximum cold air while sealing common rubber o-ring, gasket, and hose leaks and extending compressor life. www.acavalanche.com. Scan to visit our website and to view our how to video. Facebook: Like us. Youtube: Watch us. For more information visit www.acavalanche.com. Assembled in the USA from components of USA and China.

Directions

Installation Instructions: 1. Locate the vehicle's low side service port. This port will often have a plastic cap and is located between the a/c compressor and the evaporator. It is the only port to which the Avalanche recharge hose will connect. 2. Start the engine and turn air conditioner to maximum cool and maximum air flow. Close passenger compartment. 3. Tighten the recharge hose to the top of the Avalanche can by turning it clockwise. Make sure it is firmly attached. Shake can well. Connect the quick connect coupler to the low side service port by pulling the connector ring back as you push the fitting onto the service port. Make sure it locks into place. 4. Check gauge pressure when the compressor cycles on. Using the chart, determine the correct low-pressure PSI level in accordance with the ambient temperature. Read pressure when the clutch is cycled on. If the gauge needle is above the correct PSI level, check your compressor to see if it is cycling on. If the compressor does not engage, repairs ma need to be performed. If gauge reads in the Red Zone and the compressor is cycled on, do not recharge. Seek a mechanic's assistance. Some vehicles with expansion valves cannot be accurately charged using low side pressure gauge only. If your gauge is not increasing, stop charging and check air vent temperature. The PSI may only increase to 25-30 psi on these systems. Ambient Temperature degrees F/degrees C: 65 degrees (18 degrees C); Low Pressure Gauge: 25-35 psi / 172-241kPA. Ambient Temperature degrees F/degrees C: 70 degrees (21 degrees C); Low Pressure Gauge: 35-40 psi / 241-276kPA. Ambient Temperature degrees F/degrees C: 75 degrees (24 degrees C); Low Pressure Gauge: 35-45 psi / 241-310kPA. Ambient Temperature degrees F/degrees C: 80 degrees (27 degrees C); Low Pressure Gauge: 40-50 psi / 276-345kPA. Ambient Temperature degrees F/degrees C: 85 degrees (29 degrees C); Low Pressure Gauge: 45-55 psi / 310-379kPA. Ambient Temperature degrees F/degrees C: 90 degrees (32 degrees C); Low Pressure Gauge: 45-55 psi / 310-379kPA. Ambient Temperature degrees F/degrees C: 95 degrees (35 degrees C); Low Pressure Gauge: 50-55 psi / 345-379kPA. Ambient Temperature degrees F/degrees C: 100 degrees (38 degrees C); Low Pressure Gauge: 55-50 psi / 345-379kPA. Ambient Temperature degrees F/degrees C: 105 degrees (41 degrees C); Low Pressure Gauge: 50-55 psi / 345-379kPA. Ambient Temperature degrees F/degrees C: 110 degrees (43 degrees C); Low Pressure Gauge: 50-55 psi / 345-379kPA. 5. Turn the push button counter clockwise to unlock. Add refrigerant by pushing down on the push button while fully rotating the can from a 12 o'clock position to 3 o'clock position, continually agitating (sweeping) can back and forth. If your system is very low in refrigerant this process can take several minutes. Do not overcharge/do not vent. 6. Check pressure every 10-15 seconds by releasing the button. Check vent temperature often while increasing your RPM slightly. Continue process until the needle of the chart. Remove quick-connect coupler. Never place refrigerant can on any hot engine part. 7. When you have the correct fill and your air conditioner is blowing cold, stop charging. Remove the quick-connect coupler from the service port and store can in a cool dry place or discard according to state or local guidelines.

Warnings

Danger: Store in cool place - never in passenger cabin of vehicle as can may explode. Do not expose to temperatures above 120 degrees F. Do not puncture or incinerate. Never place refrigerant can on any hot engine part. Caution: Always wear protective gloves and eye wear. Contents under pressure. Read cautions on back. Do not store above 120 degrees F. Not for use on hybrid/electric vehicles with non-belt driven (electric driven) compressor. Keep out of reach of children. Exposure to skin may cause frostbite. Flush with warm water. If sprayed into eyes, flush with warm water. If inhaled, remove to fresh air and call physician immediately. Contains 1,1,1,2 Tetrafluoroethane (CAS no. 811-97-2).
