• Designed for use in fireplaces, woodstoves and outdoor firepits; a true hybrid combining the easy-lighting convenience of firelogs with the stacked log aesthetics of a wood fire
• Shaped like split wood and produces the same charred appearance of wood logs burning
• Wrapped in a special paper for clean handling and easy lighting, producing a robust, wood-like crackling fire in just minutes
• FireWise: made from 100% renewable resources and produces far fewer pollutants than an equivalent wood fire
• Just 3 Stax logs burn better than a typical 5-6 log bundle of wood and produce more heat than just one firelog
Directions
Stax logs are not intended as a single-log fire. Start with two logs and add one more after about 2 hours to extend the fire. Read instructions on log wrapper before use. For Use in Fireplaces and Outdoor Firepits: Open fireplace damper. Without tearing, carefully pull on seam of wrapper to separate it from the log. Place two logs on grate in an X configuration, with the top log angling up toward the back of the firebox (If burning outdoors a grate is not required). Place logs so seam on wrapper is facing the opening of the firebox and the arrows are pointing down. Light seam at arrows of the bottom log. Always use a metal fireplace screen while burning. If fireplace has glass doors, leave doors open while burning, unless the fireplace manufacturer's instructions indicate otherwise. Add an additional log (only one), if desired, after about 2 hours and flames from the first logs have diminished. Additional logs may be added to extend the fire, but never add more than one log per hour. Careful adjustment of the logs with a fireplace tool is acceptable, but make sure no burning particles stick to tool when it is withdrawn from the firebox. For Use in Wood Stoves: Open air intake controls or set controls to high burn setting. Without tearing, carefully pull on seam of wrapper to separate it from the log. Place two logs on bottom of firebox in an X configuration, with the top log angling up toward the back of the firebox. Place logs so seam on wrapper is facing the opening of the firebox and the arrows are pointing down. Light seam at arrows of the bottom log. Once the logs have begun burning, close stove door. Leave air intake controls on medium to high burn setting. Before opening stove door(s) to check the fire, make sure air intake controls are fully open or set on a high burn setting. Open door(s) slowly. Add an additional log as needed (only one at a time) after flames of first logs have diminished, but never add more than one log per hour. Careful adjustment of the logs with a fireplace tool is acceptable, but make sure no burning particles stick to tool when it is withdrawn from the firebox.
