Cake preparation instructions:
Ingredients: 2 eggs, 3/4 cup milk, 8 tbsp (1 stick) butter, melted and cooled.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease the bottom and sides of a 9 inches round cake pan. Combine cake mix, eggs, butter and milk in a mixing bowl. Using an electric mixer, beat on low speed to moisten, then increase speed to medium high until well blended. Pour batter into prepared pan.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 36 to 40 minutes. Cake is done when a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cool 10 minutes before removing cake from pan. Cool completely before frosting.
To make cupcakes, pour prepared batter into greased or paper lined 12 well muffin tin. Bake at 350 degrees F for 18-20 minutes. Cupcakes are done when a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Frosting preparation instructions:
Ingredients: 8 tbsp soft butter at room temperature.
Pour frosting mix into bowl of mixer. Add softened butter. Blend on medium-low until mixture comes together, then beat on high until frosting is very smooth and creamy (about 1-2 minutes). Spread on cooled cake or cupcakes.
