Prestone LowTox® Antifreeze/Coolant is a technologically advanced antifreeze/coolant. Prestone LowTox® propylene glycol-based formula is guaranteed to meet or exceed ASTM industry protection standards and is intended for use in cars and light duty trucks.
When used as directed, Prestone LowTox® Antifreeze/Coolant will: Protect all cooling system metals including aluminum from damaging rust and corrosion; Prevent freeze-ups; Prevent overheating and boilovers.
Directions
Just follow these 3 simple steps once a year to give your car unsurpassed cooling system protection. For more information on how to flush and fill your system, visit our website: www.prestone.com. Caution: Do not remove radiator cap when engine is hot. See owner's manual for any special cooling system service instructions.
1. Drain. Draining removes loose rust and sediment from the radiator. Drain cooling system following owner's manual.
2. Flush. Flushing cleans engine block. To preserve the added margin of safety provided by Prestone LowTox® Antifreeze/Coolant, repeat the drain and flush steps until all traces of color are removed from the flush water. Close radiator drain valve. Fill radiator with clean water, leaving room for a quality cooling system flush/cleaner like Prestone Super Flush. Add flush/cleaner. Run engine with heater on high to normal operating temperature. Stop engine. Allow to cool. Drain cooling system again. Close drain valve.
3. Fill. See owner's manual for cooling system capacity. Install minimum 50%, maximum 67% Prestone LowTox® Antifreeze/Coolant. Add water to fill radiator. Run engine to normal operating temperature with heater on high. Shut off engine. Allow to cool. Check coolant level and freeze-up/boilover protection using a quality coolant test strip specifically designed for use with propylene glycol coolants. Do not use a conventional coolant hydrometer. Add water or coolant again as necessary. Remove coolant from recovery tank and fill with 50/50 mixture of Prestone LowTox® Antifreeze/Coolant and water.
When disposing of used antifreeze/coolant: Follow local laws and regulations. If required, dispose at facilities licensed to accept household hazardous waste. If permitted, dispose in sanitary sewer systems. Do not discard into storm sewers, septic systems or onto the ground.

This product may be harmful if swallowed. Store safely away from children and pets. Do not store in open or unlabeled containers. Immediately clean up any leaks or spills. Tighten child resistant cap after use. Contains Propylene Glycol (57-55-6), Water (7732-18-5), and corrosion inhibitors (proprietary). Do not drink antifreeze or solution. Do not breathe mist or vapors. Avoid prolonged exposure. Avoid skin and eye contact. First Aid Treatment: If swallowed, call a Poison Control Center or hospital emergency department. Do not induce vomiting. If breathing is affected, move into fresh air. If in eyes, rinse thoroughly with water for 15 minutes. If on skin, wash well with soap and water. If irritation develops and persists, call a doctor. Keep out of reach of children.
