ultimate tuna noodle casserole: ingredients: 5 tbsp butter fc, 2-1/4 cups milk fc, 2 cups mushroom slices fc, 2 cups (8 oz) shredded sharp cheddar cheese fc, 1/3 cup onion, chopped, 2-1/2 cups (5 oz) rotini noodles, cooked, drained fc, 1/4 cup flour fc, 1 can or pouch tuna, drained fc, 1/4 tsp salt fc, 1-1/2 cups frozen peas, thawed, drained fc, 1/8 tsp pepper fc; Conventional cooking directions: in medium saucepan, saute mushrooms and onion in butter. Blend in flour, salt and pepper; Cook 1 minute. Add milk; Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil. Remove from heat. Gradually add cheese, stirring until melted. Combine noodles, tuna and peas with cheese sauce; Mix well. Pour into 2-quart casserole. Bake at 350°f for 35 to 40 minutes or until hot. Microwave cooking directions: microwave butter in 4-cup measuring bowl on high for 1 minute or until butter is melted.
