Battery Installation: 1. Remove battery compartment lid on bottom of handle. 2. Insert (4) AA batteries into battery compartment. Instructions For Use: 1. Start - cut a wide circle around the pumpkin stem. Scoop the inside of the pumpkin, we recommend using the Super Goop Scoop. The inside wall of the pumpkin should be thoroughly scraped. The wall should be scraped thinner in the area that you intend to carve. The thinner the wall the more efficiently the Safety Power Saw will operate. 2. Transfer the design - tape the stencil onto the pumpkin surface. Using the included poker, gently poke along the design outline. The poker should pierce the stencil and skin of the pumpkin. Once the design is completely transferred onto the pumpkin, remove the stencil. 3. Carving - A. Select the smallest or most detailed area of your design. B. Using the included poker, insert a hole into the pumpkin where you intend to start. C. Using this hole as a starting point, insert the blade of the safety saw into the pumpkin and press the power button. D. Gently move the saw along the dotted outline until the section is carved. E. Repeat steps A - D for each section of the design, leaving the largest area as the last to carve. F. When your pumpkin is completely carved, wipe the surface with dry cloth. Retractable safety shield can be removed for easy cleaning (turn base clockwise and lift off). Instructions to Replace Blade: 1. Very important! Remove batteries. 2. Remove retractable safety shield (turn base clockwise and lift off). 3. At base of blade is a black collar, turn slightly counter-clock wise. 4. Remove collar and blade. 5. Insert new blade, tighten collar clock wise until it snaps into place. 7. Insert batteries. Battery replacement should be performed by adults only. Retain this package for future reference.
Warnings
Battery Caution: Do not mix old and new batteries. 2. Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon- zinc) or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries. 3. Do not put batteries in backwards. Positive (+) and negative (-) ends must face proper direction. Do not leave batteries in product for long periods of non-use. 5 Do not dispose of batteries in fire.
