Details
According to Chinese legend, potstickers were created by accident when the chef of a Chinese emperor accidentally left a pot of dumplings over the stove for too long, crisping the bottoms of the dumplings. Fortunately, the crispy dumplings were a hit among members of the Chinese Imperial Court and so a "new recipe" was born. Several generations have since created their own version of this irresistible crescent shaped delight. Known as gyoza by the Japanese or mandu by the Koreans, potstickers are deliciously crispy on one side and delectably tender on the other. Annie Chun's Organic Shiitake and Vegetable Potstickers are great as an appetizer, snack, or as part of a larger meal. They're excellent just as they are or with a side of soy-vinegar dipping sauce. Each time you enjoy these delicious potstickers, don't forget to thank that ancient Chinese chef for his fortunate accident! Try Annie Chun's delicious Organic Shiitake Vegetable Potstickers. They make a great snack or appetizer to one of our many delicious.

Directions
Keep frozen. Pan Fry: On medium heat, add one tablespoon of oil in a nonstick pan. Add 7-10 frozen potstickers and turn frequently for 5-7 minutes or until golden brown. Add 2 tablespoons of water; cover and steam for about 2 minutes. Potstickers are ready when the water is evaporated and potstickers are lightly browned. Our organic potstickers are pre-cooked so you don't have to worry about over or under cooking them. Boiling: Bring 5 cups of water to a boil in a pot and add 7-10 frozen potstickers. Let potstickers cook for 4 to 5 minutes (after water re-boils, cook for 1-2 minutes), drain, and serve with your favorite dipping sauce. Microwave: Place frozen potstickers on a microwave-safe dish lined with a very wet paper towel. Place another very wet paper towel over the top of the potstickers and microwave on high for 2-1/2 to 3 minutes. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
