My cat loves chewing on his toys. So much so, that he chewed the eyeball completely off this toy. It then became lodged in his small intestine, causing an obstruction which almost killed him. Be VERY CAREFUL if your cat enjoys chewing toys if you purchase this one.

Bought one of these a few months ago. The kittens (6 months) go crazy for it. They always come running the moment I start dangling it around. Easily the most amount of play per dollar spent of any toy I've got them. They really do love it, even the more quiet and meek kitten gets confident and hunts when the caterpillar is out! I saw some of the negative reviews, people need to remember this toy costs $3-4. It also requires that you animate the caterpillar by flicking it around or making it slither to keep the cat entertained. It's not a toy you can just leave around and the cats will play by themselves.

My cat Loves this toy. Out of all her countless toys this is the one she prefers. We spend about an hour a day with the wand - great way to burn off energy for indoor cats. However I only use the wand for supervised play cause of the string - she likes to race off with it and try to jump up into high places dragging it along and I am worried she could get choked. To solve this issue and so she can play with just the caterpillar part unsupervised, I bought a second one and cut of the string and wand part and she loves it.

Our Siamese will not leave us alone since we purchased this toy 18 mo ago. He wants to play with it 24/7. He thinks it's real and slaps it like he's afraid he's going to be bitten by the toy. He camps out next to the drawer we keep it in, and he shakes his head no if we try some other toys. If we forget and leave it out he drags it around the house following us. It's really cute. We gave this toy a nickname and he knows the name and responds to it with an emotional voice. This toy has outlasted any toy we've ever purchased, even adding up past generations of cat toys. We're going to buy more of them in case he ever chews it to the point it can't defend itself any longer. lol

My ragdoll cat carries this around like a child with a blankie. The stick is gone and so are the weathers. I need to buy a new one.

I bought this for my 4 month old kittens and they loved it instantly. They play rough, so after maybe a month they figured out how to bite it off the string, but we just tied it back on to keep it as a teaser haha. Now it's all raggedy and i'll probably end up buying them a fresh one soon! It's their absolute favorite toy, they love to carry it around and drag the stick everywhere.

Bought this for $2.99 to try out different cat toys. It really looks like a snake when you flick the wand with your wrist. My cat enjoys it very much and likes to play rough (female, 1.5 years old, around 6.5 lbs). She likes chewing and holding onto the caterpillar and licking the feather areas too :D

Bought this for my kitten before she even came home. Now she is almost 7 months old and she has destroyed it basically. You guys can not get rid of this toy ever because I would just love to be able to buy new ones every time it gets destroyed. Definitely a keeper toy!

My kitten is absolutely obsessed with this toy. Reason for the 4 stars is because the feathers come off easily and the cap that connects the toy to the stick can come off as well but you just have to be fast and careful to grab it back from your cat to stick it back on. Other than that an amazing enrichment toy for a kitten

The feathers could be anchored a little tighter, but "kiling" them is part of the fun for the cats, I guess. Overall, it's a sturdy toy that withstands lots of tugging and biting and clawing.

My cat absolutely loves this toys! He has a number of stringy toys but he will go out of his way to find this one. He not only goes nuts when you wiggle it around for him but he will drag it around the house just to have it with him. He has often been spotted cuddling with it as well. It is a fun toy that I think any cat would love.

This was my cats first toy after we adopted him and he loves it. It's his go to toy whenever he wants to play. We will more than likely be buying more as he is already wearing out this one.

I will start by saying that my two year old cat loves this toy. She got excited when she saw me taking it out. After a few times of playing with this however, she became very attracted to the caterpillar part and would put it in her mouth. Problem was, that part would get stuck in her mouth and she would meow/whine around it because she couldn’t get it out! I would have to extricate it for her. I tried playing a few times but this always happened. I will not let her play with this toy anymore.

my new cat stopped being timid as soon as he saw this toy. my older cat (18) pounced on it intrigued by it's featherly tip..
