Freshly baked and warm from your oven our Cherry Crunch Pie is sure to please. Our story begins over 60 years ago, in 1948, when Marie Callender first baked pies for local restaurants. Baking from scratch, Marie used only the finest ingredients and put such love and care into each and every pie that people took notice. Before long, Marie began offering her good home cooking and legendary pies at a restaurant of her own. The word spread and soon Marie Callender restaurants were opened all across the West. We've been warming hearts and tummies with our famous recipes ever since. Ingredients
Filling: Cherries, Sugar, Modified Corn Starch, Salt. Crust: Enriched Wheat Flour (flour, Niacin, Iron, Thiamine Mononitrate, Riboflavin, Folic Acid), Vegetable Shortening (partially Hydrogenated Soybean Oil), Water, Dextrose, Salt, Sodium Metabisulfite. Crumb Topping: Enriched Wheat Flour (flour, Niacin, Iron, Thiamine Mononitrate, Riboflavin, Folic Acid), Brown Sugar, Vegetable Shortening (partially Hydrogenated Soybean And Cottonseed Oils), Sugar, Salt, Spice, Dextrose.
Directions
Baking Directions: Conventional Oven: Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Remove plastic wrapper from pie. Cover cookie sheet with aluminum foil and place frozen pie on cookie sheet on center oven rack. Bake pie for 40 - 45 minutes. Allow crumb bag to thaw on countertop while pie is baking. Remove pie from oven on cookie sheet. Never lift pie pan by the edges. Open crumb bag with scissors and place crumb topping on pie and return to oven. Crumble the crumb topping while still in the bag to your desired crumb size and then sprinkle onto pie. When adding the topping begin by distributing crumbs from the edge of the pie and work your way towards its center. Use a fork to evenly distribute crumbs. Let pie bake for an additional 10-15 minutes. The crumb topping will bake to a rich golden brown. Remove pie from the oven and let cool. Pie will slice and serve most easily when cooled at least 2 hours. Marie's Baking Tips: If edges of pie begin to brown excessively, cover edges with a strip of aluminum foil and continue baking. Our pies are filled with luscious, ripe fruit, some juices may bubble over while baking so be sure to cover your cookie sheet with aluminum foil. Keep frozen until ready to bake.
