Feeding Guidelines: Follow the guidelines in the daily food table. Remember that your pet's food intake should be adjusted upon their life stage, activity, body condition, environmental temperature and overall health. Since True Meals foods are complete and balanced, additional foods, treats, supplements and chews may alter the nutritional balance in the food and your pet's caloric intake. For good digestion, provide fresh water in a clean bowl every day. We recommend splitting this amount into two meals. Be sure to take your pet to your local veterinarian for proper health examinations annually. Switching to True Meals Foods: Switching from your current food to any new dog food should be a gradual transition over 7 to 10 days to reduce any digestive upsets that occur due to a change in diet. 1) Days 1-3 (75% old food, 25% new food); 2) Days 3-5 (50% old food, 50% new food); 3) Days 5-7 (25% old food, 75% new food); 4) Days 7-10 (100% new food).
