    To reset your password, please find "Forgot your password?" on the login page and click Reset it. Enter your email address and we'll send you a reset email confirmation which will direct you to change your password within a few minutes.

    Tip: Please make sure to check your junk/spam folder just in case it snuck in there. If you still can’t reset your password, please email us at help@instacart.com as we're happy to investigate.

  • How do I add, change or remove a delivery address?

    Important: If you have an order in progress right now and you know the delivery address is incorrect, make sure the correct address is on your account already and contact Customer Happiness immediately at help@instacart.com.

     

    On a computer

    To change an address:

    1. Go to www.instacart.com and make sure you’re logged in
    2. At the top right, click Account
    3. Click Your Account
    4. Click Addresses
    5. Click the address you want to change
    6. Make the changes and click Save Address

    To add a new address:

    1. Go to www.instacart.com and make sure you’re logged in
    2. At the top right, click Account
    3. Click Your Account
    4. Click Addresses
    5. Click New Delivery Address
    6. Enter the address and click Save Address

    To remove an address:

    1. Go to www.instacart.com and make sure you’re logged in
    2. At the top right, click Account
    3. Click Your Account
    4. Click Addresses
    5. Click the address you want to remove
    6. Click Delete Address

     

    On the iPhone or iPad app

    To add a new address:

    1. Touch the list icon at the top left (it looks like three white horizontal lines)
    2. Touch Account
    3. Touch Addresses
    4. Touch Add Address
    5. Enter the address and touch Save address

    To remove an address:

    1. Touch the account icon at the top left (it looks like three white horizontal lines)
    2. Touch Account
    3. Touch Addresses
    4. Touch Edit at the top right
    5. To the left of the address you want to remove, touch the red minus sign that appears
    6. Touch the red Delete button
    7. When “Are you sure you want to delete this address?” appears, touch OK

     

    On the Android phone or tablet app

    To add a new address:

    1. Click the list icon at the top left (it looks like three white horizontal lines)
    2. Click Account
    3. Click Addresses
    4. Click ADD ADDRESS at the top right
    5. Enter the address and click Save

    To edit an address:

    1. Click the list icon at the top left (it looks like three white horizontal lines)
    2. Click Account
    3. Click Addresses
    4. Click the address you want to edit
    5. Edit the address and click SAVE

    To remove an address:

    1. Click the list icon at the top left (it looks like three white horizontal lines)
    2. Click Account
    3. Click Addresses
    4. Click the address you want to remove
    5. Click DELETE
    6. Click OK when asked if you’re sure
  • Subscribe or unsubscribe from Instacart sales and marketing emails

    All email subscription settings can be adjusted except for email order confirmations.

    If you’re not receiving emails from Instacart, please check your email account’s “Spam” or “Junk” folders to ensure the message was not filtered or flagged incorrectly.

    To start or stop receiving sales or marketing emails from Instacart:

    On a computer

    1. Go to www.instacart.com and make sure you’re logged in
    2. At the top right, click Account
    3. Click Your Account
    4. Click Notifications
    5. Adjust the Sales & Marketing option

    On the iPhone or iPad app

    1. Touch the account icon at the top left (it looks like a face in a white circle)
    2. Touch your name at the top of the screen
    3. Touch Notifications
    4. Adjust the Sales & Marketing option

    On the Android phone or tablet app

    1. Touch the list icon at the top left (it looks like three white horizontal lines)
    2. Touch Account
    3. Touch My Account
    4. Adjust the Sales & Marketing option

    Alternatively, you can visit the Notifications section of your Account page to stop receiving most notifications.

  • Why am I not receiving emails from Instacart?

    If you’re not receiving emails from Instacart, please check your email account’s “Spam” or “Junk” folders to ensure the message was not filtered or flagged incorrectly.

    If you don’t find emails from us there, please check your Notifications settings here (must be on a computer):

    1. Go to www.instacart.com and make sure you’re logged in
    2. At the top right, click Account
    3. Click Your Account
    4. Click Notifications
    5. Select the type of emails you wish to receive

  • How do I turn off text message and push notifications?

    If there are changes to your order you will be contacted by us, but you can choose not to receive texts or push notifications from us about your order. To stop text message (SMS) and push notifications about the status of your order:

     

    On a computer

    1. Go to www.instacart.com and make sure you’re logged in
    2. At the top right, click Account
    3. Click Your Account
    4. Click Notifications
    5. Deselect Send a push notification and Send an SMS message as desired

     

    On the iPhone or iPad app

    1. Touch the account icon at the top left (it looks like a face in a white circle)
    2. Touch your name at the top of the screen
    3. Touch Notifications
    4. Deselect Send a push notification and Send an SMS message as desired

     

    On the Android phone or tablet app

  • Why is my account suspended?

    If your account seems to be suspended, it probably requires additional verification. It may be suspended temporarily or permanently. As a result, you'll be unable to place an order.

    This suspension of your account is a security measure to keep Instacart and your account secure.

  • What personal information about me is shared with retailers?

    Certain retailers may want to receive personal information about you like your name, email address, home address, current and historical order details, and phone number. In that case, when you place an order, we will ask you whether you want to opt in to having that information shared with a specific retailer and we will tell you what information will be shared if you do choose to opt in. You can click Allow or Don’t Allow sharing while placing your order.

    If you do opt in to this sharing, the retailer will receive current and historical information about your orders on Instacart at that retailer (including which items you purchased and what prices you paid) in association with your name and other personal information. Note that information that you choose to share with retailers will be controlled by the specific retailer and subject to their privacy policy.

    If you have chosen to opt in to sharing additional information with a specific retailer, this designation will be stored in the "Permissions" section under "Account" and can be revoked at anytime by selecting "Revoke Access."

    4. Click Account on the left

    If you revoke your opt-in for sharing with a specific retailer, this will only prevent subsequent sharing of the information, not information that was shared while your opt-in was active.

    Not all retailers support the ability to opt into sharing additional information at this time.

  • How do I cancel my Instacart Express?

    Please send us an email at help@instacart.com as we're happy to help cancel your Instacart Express subscription with a prorated refund based on the amount of time left on your subscription period.

  • How do I change the phone number on my Instacart account?

    Note: We currently support domestic phone numbers, not international.

     

    On a computer

    1. Go to www.instacart.com and make sure you’re logged in
    2. At the top right, click Account
    3. Click Your Account
    4. Click Account on the left
    5. In the PERSONAL INFORMATION section, click Change
    6. Enter the correct phone number and click Save Account Information

    On the iPhone or iPad app

    1. Touch the account icon at the top left (it looks like three white horizontal lines)
    2. Touch your name at the top of the screen
    3. Touch your phone number
    4. Update the number and touch Save

    On the Android phone or tablet app

    1. Touch the list icon at the top left (it looks like three white horizontal lines)
    2. Touch Account
    3. Touch My Account
    4. Touch the phone number
    5. Update the number and touch Save at the top right
  • How do I add my club membership to my account?

    Currently, you can enter your club membership, loyalty program or savings club number with the following retailers: Bianchini’s, Petco, Andronico’s, Green Zebra, Marczyk, Wedge Co-Op, Lakewinds Natural Foods, Standard Market, Harris Teeter, LaBonne's, Safeway (DC area only) and Costco (DC area only).

    You can only do this while you’re placing an order. Here’s how to add your membership number (must be on a computer):

    1. Click Checkout at the bottom of your shopping cart
    2. Select your address and delivery time and click Next
    3. In the Loyalty Cards section, click the plus sign and enter your member number
