More Savings With New Benefits for Instacart Express Members

Giving people more access to food — and more time to enjoy it together — has always been core to our mission. 

When we talk to customers, they tell us that every dollar matters when it comes to getting the groceries and goods their family needs. Outside of rent and transportation, groceries are one of the largest monthly budget expenditures for most households across the U.S. and Canada. We want to make online grocery shopping accessible and affordable for everyone, so we’re working to make Instacart Express the best way to save on everyday essentials and groceries. 

Instacart Express is Instacart’s membership program that lets members take advantage of free delivery on orders over $35 and reduced service fees — saving Express members an average of $9 per order compared to a non-member order. As we focus on delivering even more value to customers, we’re rolling out a collection of new perks that make Instacart Express the must-have membership for busy people and families across North America.

Over the next few months we’re introducing additional, exclusive perks to help Express members save even more at checkout when shopping online from their favorite retailers.

• 5% credit back on Pickup: Over the next few months, we’re also bringing additional savings to Express members who use our contactless curbside Pickup offering. We’ve expanded Pickup to more than 4,500 stores nationwide across 120 grocery partners, including ALDI, Food Lion, Gelson’s, Publix, Price Chopper, Schnucks, Shop ’n Save, Sprouts, The Fresh Market, Wegmans and more — giving customers the option to save time and money by ordering online and getting their groceries via Pickup. All Pickup customers already save on service fees and do not pay delivery fees, and with this new perk, Express members will get even more savings with 5% credit back on their eligible Pickup orders, usable toward future orders placed via Instacart.

• Free Express membership for Chase cardmembers: For a limited time, we’re teaming up with Chase to offer eligible Chase cardmembers* free Instacart Express membership through April 30th and $10 off their next order of $35 or more.

• Free access to Grubhub+: For a limited time, annual Instacart Express members can receive 12 months of Grubhub+ for free, including unlimited free delivery on Grubhub orders over $12 from more than 300,000 participating restaurants nationwide, exclusive perks like free food and members-only deals, and donation matching when members donate their change to a charity at checkout on Grubhub. Additionally, existing Grubhub diners can receive two months of Instacart Express for free and $10 off of their first Instacart order over $35.
